WASHINGTON (AP) - House Speaker John Boehner drew criticism from left and right Friday over comments mocking his own Republican lawmakers for their reluctance to take up immigration legislation, rekindling election-year debate on the contentious issue even as President Barack Obama weighs acting on his own.
Boehner said at a Rotary Club lunch at home in Ohio Thursday that House Republicans don't have the appetite to deal with immigration because it's too tough. He imitated them whining in protest, "'Ohh don't make me do this, ohh this is too hard.'"
Latino advocates and Capitol Hill Democrats responded with derision, saying it's Boehner's job as leader of the House to bring the issue to a vote, not to blame others. "He's acting like he's not the speaker of the House," said Lynn Tramonte, deputy director of America's Voice, an immigration advocacy group.

The law is not the problem. The problem is the administration will not enforce it. Boner, pass another law which sets fines at $10,000 per day for any individual or company which employs an illegal. It will also fine at $10,000 per day, an individual or company which leases accommodations to an illegal. Without places to live or work, it would be unreasonable to stay. But it wouldn’t be enforced either.
I tried to call his office to tell him to resign his speakership but his mailbox was full. I hope its filled with similar demands from others who are fed up with this clown. He’s gotta go, now.
These people would see the gates of unlimited immigration thrown open into our country and see our country , as we know it , lost forever . Like with Britain ....These people would see an amnesty given to any and all illegal border jumpers that have ever managed to enter and infest our country , attracting countless millions more , and certainly all their own relatives . The doors of immigration need to be shut , not opened wider , and NO amnesty for those that have illegally entered given . The anchor baby scam needs to be addressed and all legality offered by that rescinded .
The Democrats and Boehners of today are just like the utterly misguided idiots in the U.K. who allowed unlimited immigration to flow in after WW2 . He wants to sell out the American people by legalizing another 20 million illegals.
I guess that is rough for people with a conscience... Here’s what he needs to do - and this is REALLY ROUGH - because the press won’t like him... he needs to send the illegals home. Then take in 20 million people from countries willing to vote for Republicans. Let’s see how the New York Times deals with that...

We are really talking about 30-60 million NEW immigrants.
The reason for my statement is this: The 10-20 million illegals will get lonely. So what will they do if granted AMNESTY?
Why. they will send for their wives, husbands, children, parents, cousins, and other relatives, and cowardly politicians like Sen. McCain will quickly grant their requests.
So, instead of just 10-20 million illegals receiving American benefits when they receive AMNESTY, we will now have 20-60 million new immigrants suddenly trying to take advantage of AMNESTY.
So AMNESTY must NOT be granted during Obama's LAST TERM in office.
And when the next 10 million illegals come in, we’ll hear...”Well you let the last 10 million in, why not these 10 million?” Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
