The troublesome fish currently known as Asian carp may get a new name in Minnesota over concern that the current one casts people from Asian cultures in a negative light.

Maybe they could call it the “franken fish” after another of their invasive and nuisance species.
The left will say that it is yet another, new, secret ‘buzzword’ that whites can use to alienate Asians instead of the old standby, ‘slant eyes’ or ‘gooks’.

I thought for a minute Dan Snyder had come up with a new name for the Redskins.
How long before we have to rename Spanish Mackerel, Jewfish, Blackfish, Yellowtail and Red Snapper? (Of course Whitefish will probably remain forever) And what about Creek Chub? That might offend obese people.
Actually, I forgot, they've already started on the Jewfish and have been calling it Goliath Grouper the past few years. At least we still have Jewfish Creek for now.

The term “Asian-American” offends me.
In Cumberland County, Tn in 2000, there was a “Jap Camp Road” , at some point since.. the county fathers changed the name of that road to “P.O.W. Camp Road”
It Never housed any Japanese prisoners. They were primarily German and some Italian.
The locals still call it Jap Camp Road.
It was an Asian with a fettish for all foods Asian that released the first of these weird flying carl in the first place.
