This may be the reason Russia gives for going into Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry says a grenade fired from a launcher caused an explosion in a helicopter at an airfield outside the eastern city of Kramatorsk, wounding a pilot. (April 26)
If it is unmarked, hhmmmmm,,,it is likely Russian...Right?
Escalation. Obama really has diffused the situation, hasn’t he?
It does seem that the Kiev temporary government is aching for a war instead of an election.

You mean like the Poles attacked the radio station at Gleiwitz?
“In response to the escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine Russian President Vladimir Putin slammed Kiev on Thursday saying that the use military force against the civilian population is a serious crime which makes Kiev authorities a junta.
Russias UN envoy Vitaly Churkin pointed out in an interview to Rossiya 1 channelon Friday that if the violence in the southeast of Ukraine doesn't stop, Russia will call a special session of the UN Security Council.”

Putin’s operatives are inside the Ukraine attacking the Ukrainian people, their citizens at checkpoints et al, and he has the brass ones to complain about the Ukrainians.
Yeah, I’m sure those Ukrainians are very bad people for throwing themselves in front of Russian bullets. Just damn them!
Vlad has jumped the shark.

Satellite Images Reveal Massing Of 15,000 Ukraine Troops, Hundreds Of Tanks Around Slavyansk

“Russian RIA Novosti reports that it has received satellite photos, “which clearly show the accumulation of a large number of Ukrainian military equipment and weapons on the border with the Russian Federation and in the vicinity of Slavyasnk.” RIA cites a source in the Defense Ministry, who commented that the pictures show a military formation designed “to wipe out the city and all its inhabitants from the face of the earth.” According to source, the group has more than 15,000 troops from the Ukraine army and national guard, about 160 tanks, 230 infantry fighting vehicles and APCs, and as much as 150 mortars, howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems (”Grad” and “Smerch”).”
“Unknown” my ass.
I guess your master Obama (and his master, George Soros, who went to the Ukraine in April), the great manipulator of the wonderful Arab Spring and the teller of all that is true will be proud of you.
Ruffians landed from a helicopter? Vladimir, I understand what you’re doing, but this is absurd. Your average, or above-average, paramilitary doesn’t have access to that sort of transportation or expertise. It makes you look bad.
As far as the US goes—I’m less concerned than most, despite the Munich analogies. Here’s a future history analogy—in 20 years, with our current open borders, a big chunk of one of our southwestern states may declare their independence from the US and preference for Mexico. I would hope we’d react strongly, and if we did, that we’d be upset enough and determined enough that the Russians would recognize the futility of interfering across an intervening ocean.
The reverse is our position now—reckless expansion of NATO to territories it wasn’t really willing to fight to defend, and where it was to overextended and weak to defend. Our power is not limitless, especially with the steady cuts to our military. Neither is our obligation to shoulder the heavy lifting for Europe in exchange for their sending token expeditions to Iraq and other US-dominated actions.
And Benghazi. The video did it!. Even the CIA, Defense, and the State Department went along with the “terrible video” story. It wasn’t a terrorist attack, but regular Muslims upset about a video. The admin even spent money to apologize about the video. Yes, I do have trouble accepting what this administration and all its “Yes Sir” men say.
Whether Russia is lying or not, I thought it was worthwhile to show what the Russians are saying. We are close to war.
The man the Ukrainians threw out was democratically elected. We are supporting the side that overthrew the legitimate government. They said he was corrupt. Should we have really sided with either side?
Crimea was given to the Ukraine by Khrushchev to entice them to join the USSR. From what I understand, the majority in East Ukraine are Russian speaking and so is the Crimea. The overthrown government recognized the Russian language, the new government said Russian would no longer be acceptable to conduct business.
“Those who were guarding the checkpoint, told Slier that the marked attackers in black uniforms were armed with US-made guns.”
Yeah, I have a lot of trust in this administration.
Protesters in Ukraine guard biggest weapons cache in eastern Europe
“At least 1m firearms ranging from first world war machine guns to Soviet-era Kalashnikovs stored at Volodarsky salt mine
Situation in Ukraine’s Donetsk Region
People outside an ammunition depot at Volodarsky mine. The sign reads: ‘We are for a peace/world without war.’
When pro-Russia protesters stormed a police station in Slavyansk, in eastern Ukraine, they seized several hundred firearms. They also took control of the biggest weapons cache in eastern Europe, which lies beneath their feet.
Since March a group of protesters have been guarding the entrance to the Volodarsky salt mine, which holds an underground collection of at least a million firearms ranging from first world war heavy machine guns to Soviet-era Kalashnikovs.”

I was gonna guess BLM.
Ukraine crisis: Pro-Russian gunmen show seized monitors
The President of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has assembled an emergency meeting in Grozny in connection with complication and genocide to the South-East of Ukraine!
In connection with the above, he States and 72 hours period gives the Kiev authorities put an end to all violence in the Southeast, otherwise, the Chechen Republic enters on the South-East its military special forces, the unofficial name of the death squad.
The Ukrainians and Russians are dead serious. And Obama is weak and has further eroded our military readiness. Condi Rice said we should forget about cutting our military.
