A version of 'knockout game' stirs outrage in Austin, Texas

Last October, Austin residents were stunned when hundreds of rampaging black youths converged by a shopping mall one evening. They walked atop parked cars, fought among themselves, and hurled rocks at scores of police officers arriving from other parts of the city. Police called it a full-blown riot but never figured out what set it off.

The concept of a “black community” is a myth; just because a large number of black voters vote themselves freebies doesn’t indicate any common traits beyond that. Anyone waiting for the “black community” to do anything will be disappointed; see Detroit, Newark NJ, and thug culture as examples...

“Happy slapping” has been going on in England for years. There, it’s largely at the hand of white yobs and chavs. In a sense it’s the same group of people, wards of the state, whose actions are divorced from any consequence. They don’t do productive work, there is no shaming mechanism, no potential loss of income or reputation, and so they become hostile to the productive element, then begin amusing themselves by assaulting them.
