Noemi Álvarez Quillay took the first steps of the 6,500-mile journey to New York City from the southern highlands of Ecuador on Tuesday, Feb. 4, after darkness fell.

A bashful, studious girl, Noemi walked 10 minutes across dirt roads that cut through corn and potato fields, reaching the highway to Quito. She carried a small suitcase. Her grandfather Cipriano Quillay flagged down a bus and watched her board. She was 12.

This story is hardly pro-amnesty. It's the prospect of amnesty that's giving their parents false encouragement and luring these poor children to their deaths from snakebite, and from being raped and beaten by the Mara-Salvatruchas and other human traffickers and narcotraficants who are the most brutal criminals in the Northern Hemisphere. "Amnesty" lures them to misery, disease, slow death by starvation / dehydration in the Sonoran desert, and suicide.

The amnesty-purveyors are responsible for this. Starting with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Obama is an inspiration to people all over the world. Somehow he runs around telling everyone America is a terrible racist place run by rich white people and there is no chance to ever get ahead.

I subscribe to International Living and they keep talking about how wonderful Ecuador is. I have been there, to Guayaquil, and it was a bustling city - although I heard it was somewhat dangerous in certain areas.

In fact International Living has articles about Americans living happily close to Quito. I blame the rats for enticing these people with "the roads are paved with gold" ideas. Although, as long as the rats and GOPe are in charge I guess this isn't completely wrong.

Also, I saw a NumbersUSA video a few years back and they clearly showed the folly in trying to import the world. It was fairly frightening.

The moral of the story is that if her parents had stayed in Ecuador instead of entering the USA illegally their daughter would still be alive.

It’s too bad the girl died but that doesn’t mean we should do away with protecting our borders. Her parents should have taken better care of their daughter. She wouldn’t have been at the mercy of the scum that killed her. The dead girl didn’t make it to America but the piece of shit who murdered did.
