Sure; here in NJ our government worker overlords are the second most reliable Dem constituency. We’ve had layoffs (never mind just cutting hours), and we can only hope this will prevent many of these former workfare gibsmedats from voting Dem in the future.

Not to worry though, those workers can now go to McDonald’s and will soon get the higher minimum wages to off set the loss of hours on their “day job”.

In my town school crossing guards were getting benefits for the longest time (and may still be getting them); that is why productive people are fleeing NJ. Our civil servant class became our upper middle class, while private sector employees are reduced to the peonage of Asian coolies (in part to pay them).
