Caught on a flight from Washington to Texas Sunday, Karl Rove, the guru of the GOP political establishment, was not pleased with a statement by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, a member of the House Republican leadership team, which sounded like a surrender in the fight to overturn Obamacare.
Asked if the comment by Republican leadership acquiescing to the continuation of the Affordable Care Act was helpful to GOP chances in November, Rove said, It doesnt. It absolutely doesnt.
Rove had not had a chance to read the article in the Spokane Spokesman-Review that quoted McMorris Rodgers as saying it is unlikely Republicans will kill the Affordable Care Act should they take the Senate and hold the House in November. He indicated he tried to read it when he saw the headline on the Drudge Report but could not access the story because the papers servers were overloaded.

Rove is just upset that this GOP CONgresswoman let the cat out of the bag.
She is one of the five STUPIDEST CONgressional representatives in either party. Patty Murray, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Craxxine Waters, and Hank Johnson. Throw in Duh-bie Stabenow as a potential “sixth man”...
Rove is right on this one, and I don’t think he’s BSing. The narrative is set, and Rove has success building narratives. I dislike the guy as much as anyone, but he does bring certain skills to the table. They can essentially win 3-4 net Senate seats just following this path.
” Affordable Care Act”
Since Obamacare tarnishes the image of the Keynesian Kenyan, the liberal left is redefining terms again - like “undocumented worker” for illegal alien, or ‘affirmative action” for reverse discrimination.
Somebody should write a plain text lexicon for politically correct terminology.

What Rove is unhappy about is this news is coming out BEFORE
the GOP primaries.
Yeah right. Just get control of the Senate and then we can fix Obamacare. Rove is not speaking as a matter of principle, but rather, a political tactic to fool the GOP base.
Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
That’s an eye-opening reminder. Thanks for posting.
Does it matter what Rove says? Once the amnesty deal is done, we are going to be stuck paying medical bills for illegals, one way or the other. To guarantee that we will continue paying forever, illegals will support Democrats and redistribution schemes. So Rove sucks even when he pretends not to.
Yep. The knee-jerk anti-rovian mindset is not smart.
Believe me, I am anti-rovian 98% of the time because his bread is buttered by the wrong people, but I am not going to completely dismiss the guy when he's right.
