I stand by every word of it. And its even worse today.
Of the thousands of Clinton presidential records released to the public last week, one among them has received of the bulk of attention: a 332-page memo from 1995. The memo, which offers an in-depth analysis of the right-wing media, describes how conservative conspiracy theories about the Clintons passed from the fringes to the mainstream.

Lets go all the way back to the summer of 1995.
At the time, my then colleague (and current business partner) Mark Fabiani and I were working at the White House as lawyers in the counsels office and began to receive calls from mainstream media outlets asking us to respond to various bizarre items related to the late Vince Foster, a fellow White House lawyer who had tragically taken his own life in the summer of 1993. At first, we ignored the calls, as there was nothing to the story beyond the terrible loss of one of the president and first ladys friends. However, as the calls continued without letup, and the nature of the questions became even more bizarreto the point where we were asked to comment on alleged eyewitness sightings of Fosterwe knew we had to get to the heart of the matter and began asking the reporters the basis for their questions. You get the information you want and rarely have to hear a dissenting voice.. . . unless of course you have been indoctrinated to think that news is a neutral category of information. It is not neutral because:Superficial negativity is cynicism, and liberalism is cynicism about the people who make America work.
- the news is superficial - Theres nothing more worthless than yesterdays newspaper.
- the news is negative - No news is good news because good news isnt news. The news is also negative because of the preference for Man Bites Dog over Dog Bites Man stories. In a country in which progress has been taken for granted, bad news is less usual than good - but never reported, for that very reason.
As a matter of fact, you're right...Chris Lehane's been in the employ of a UAE sheikh, son of the late ruler . Chris's sheikh was replaced by his younger brother or stepbrother after the sheikh started disrupting the leadership's effort to warm up to the US ... he led mobs of demonstrators against the US in the runup to the Iraq War, allegedly burned the US flag, encouraged his emirate's radio stations to continually broadcast anti us propaganda, etc... and just generally made the leadership uncomfortable with him. As soon as he was booted and after his Pa died he set about trying to regain his position and to that end hired California Strategies and Chris Lehane to try to destroy his half brother's reputation, alleging his stepbrother was in collusion with Iran. The sheikh also hired Fusion GPS's Glenn Simpson of Trump dossier fame.
