MILWAUKEE — A federal judge in Milwaukee struck down Wisconsin's voter identification law Tuesday, saying a requirement that voters show a state-issued photo ID at the polls imposes an unfair burden on poor and minority voters.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman sided with opponents of the law, who argued that low-income and minority voters aren't as likely to have photo IDs or the documents needed to get them. Adelman said the law violated the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of equal protection.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman should be a candidate for impeachment.

MEMO TO JUDGE ADELMAN: Rule on the law, not on your sociology.

(If they each got $10 for registering they would break a leg to get in line.)

Another dimwitted nitwit judge. The poor have no id, bull spit, they need id to get their welfare, food stamps, housing, driver licenses, registrations, even to get into RAT rallies, etc. Talk about the slippery slope to the third world.

For 20 years, Lynn Adelman was a Democrat member of the Wisconsin State Senate (from 1977 - 1997). ... Wisconsin state senator, 1977-1997.

My take is that IF you’re too dumb, stupid or poor to be able to pick up a free ID card, you’re tooooo stupppiiiddd to vote.

Very interesting..... so in Houston Texas there are many drivers without a drivers license. With Houston being a sanctuary city, if I am stopped and the police ask for my ID, can I now tell them that they are violatating the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection?

“Where is my protection against voter fraud?”

Rand Paul said there isn’t any voter fraud.

They said that an ID and background check and fingerprints are fine for buying a gun though,
its only voting where you cant ask voters to identify themselves.

Dem appointed judges!

Congress can abolish ALL lower courts in the United States except the SCOTUS. Never happen, but it needs to . Our government was never set to be run by judges. This is absurd.

Wisconsin should just ignore the federal judge’s idiotic ruling and enforce their properly passed voter id law. Period.

Lets hear them make the same argument on guns ah? It is an unfair burden on the poor to have to show an ID to buy a gun. After all, we know that this is a right protected under the constitution.

It seems to me that instead of whining about “unfair burdens” of voter ID laws, now is the time for conscientious Democrats (if there is such a thing) to help those legitimate citizens who don’t have IDs to get them. So instead of complaining on voting day, they will have everyone all set with their IDs to vote.

But I guess this is too obvious a solution and won’t allow them to cheat with busloads of unregistered immigrants.

Same thing happened in Arkansas last week.

alleges Judge Tim Fox should be removed from the ballot because of a short suspension of his law license in 2013 for failure to pay annual dues.

An Arkansas judge declared the state’s new voter identification law unconstitutional on Thursday since it stipulates that voters must meet an additional requirement before casting a ballot.

Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Tim Fox called the law, which calls for voters to show photo identification cards, “void and unenforceable.”

Nearly three dozen U.S. states have voter identification measures, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. The laws are part of a nationwide effort at the state level aimed at preventing voter fraud. Critics say they hinder low-income and minority voters and are challenging the laws in several state courts.

Arkansas’ Republican-led Legislature approved the law last year. Democratic Governor Mike Beebe had vetoed the bill, but the state House and Senate overrode the governor.

Attorney General Dustin McDaniel’s office said it would work quickly to appeal the ruling on behalf of The Board of Election Commissioners.

The Pulaski County elections board had brought the suit against the state panel.

A filing in a Lonoke County divorce case bears on the runoff for state Supreme Court between Appeals Court Judge Karen Baker and Pulaski Circuit Judge Tim Fox.

The filing, a divorce counter-claim by Lonoke farmer Shane Hamilton, seeks divorce from his wife, Lauren, on ground that she’d been having an affair with Fox. Lauren Hamilton, who now practices with the Hilburn firm in North Little Rock, was a law clerk for Fox for two years and left for private practice about three years ago. The lawsuit was filed for Shane Hamilton by Kim Kelley, a Heber Springs lawyer, who until the May primary election was both a law clerk and campaign worker for Baker. She said she had not worked for Baker in either capacity since the primary.
~
Fox, who is married, would not comment directly on the allegation. “I’ve just always taken the position that personal family business is not open for public discussion — in an election year or a non-election year.” He said he was aware of the filing, but had not reviewed it. He noted Kelley’s past work for Baker and said he saw the filing as “another effort to draw attention away” from his campaigning about the amount of vacation time Baker and her staff took from work at the Court of Appeals

Petition Questions Judge Tim Fox’s Candidacy

Apr. 3, 2014 10:37 am

The candidacy of a Pulaski County circuit judge has been called into question in a petition filed by a registered voter in his district.

The petition, filed Wednesday in Pulaski County Circuit Court by resident John Kelly, alleges Judge Tim Fox should be removed from the ballot because of a short suspension of his law license in 2013 for failure to pay annual dues.

State law requires judicial candidates to be a licensed attorney for at least six years before taking office.

An email from the Arkansas Supreme Court, attached as a document to the petition, shows Fox’s license was suspended from March 2, 2013 to April 16, 2013 for nonpayment.

The petition requests an immediate court hearing and the removal of Fox’s name from the ballot.

Fox is the Sixth Division Circuit Court judge in Pulaski County, and is seeking re-election. Arkansas Business contacted Fox’s office for commment, but was told the judge was currently in the courtroom and unavailable.

Many judges if not most, from top to bottom, are nothing more than scumbags who couldn’t get any type of job/work that required worthwhile constructive economic social benefits. I have been in the societal mud pit these judges create.

How can anyone say that with a straight face?

The Pinkos at counsel table and the Pinkos on the bench must be smirking and winking at each other during these hearings.

The Federal government is no longer a valid entity if it will not act to ensure the sanctity of the vote—it cannot possibly claim to have the consent of the governed while the vote remains so open to fraud. There is no basis to believe any federal elections actually reflect the will of the people absent proof that only the people can vote and that their legitimate votes are not canceled by fraudulently cast ballots. It’s starting to look like DC has been captured by a cabal of criminals. Maybe it should be returned to swampland.

If they don’t have an ID, how to they apply for and receive state/federal benefits or have a job? The I-9 form requires ID for employment. I suppose that’s unfair.

They have been doing this with every key law in WI since Walker got elected. Once the case makes its way up to the top and we win, they bring up another law suit before a left wing judge. When they loose that one they start the process over again.
