MILWAUKEE — A federal judge in Milwaukee struck down Wisconsin's voter identification law Tuesday, saying a requirement that voters show a state-issued photo ID at the polls imposes an unfair burden on poor and minority voters.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman sided with opponents of the law, who argued that low-income and minority voters aren't as likely to have photo IDs or the documents needed to get them. Adelman said the law violated the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of equal protection.

RE :”Lets hear them make the same argument on guns ah? It is an unfair burden on the poor to have to show an ID to buy a gun. After all, we know that this is a right protected under the constitution.”

Doesn't work that way.

You have the right to vote, get an abortion and be married to the same sex partner of your choice, as well as buying the wedding related photos and wedding cakes .

Owning a gun is not a right unless you are certified by the government to be part of a militia, Obama's militia.

Can’t this judge find one person unable to get a photo i.d. legally to back up this belief that its so difficult to get?

2) A picture ID is required to get on a airplane
3) A picture ID is required to obtain a Medicare card
4) Most states offer non-drivers a picture ID card which is often free if the person is poor
5) A picture ID is required to gain entrance to all Federal Courts houses

Below is a link to Adelman’s Bio complete with phone #’s etc; He is a Clinton Appointee (ergo Rabid Democrat), 75 years old. I suspect if picture ID’s were handed out on the street corner of every poor neighborhood he STILL would have found a way to pronounce the law Un Constitutional because the dims figure 99.99% of illegal votes go to a Dim.........it’s that simple!

A home birth or abandoned child could result in no birth records. If the Democrats are so concerned about those who have such a situation, they should be making sure people can get the documents they need for proof of citizenship.

But we all know that’s not their real concern.

Require more IDs and/or universal IDs and track everyone. Brilliant politics. That’ll win votes. Or go back to using paper ballots and records (the wiser choice).

These po’ people have plenty of IDs for welfare. In fact they usually have multiple IDs

These people who are unable to get photo ID...many are bused in to the polls from nursing homes and group living situation for people w mental problems. Or given absentee ballots that the Democrat honchos fill out for them

I’m just wondering what the lawyers brought up about needing ID to do just about anything but vote ....

Our law even said they could receive the I.D.’s FREE and the stinking judge wouldn’t let us ask them to have them. If the law passed, the dems would not be able to drive up busloads of paid “voters” from Illinois to vote in our elections.

In Wisconsin, yep. It was a bad decision there, no doubt.

One of the real holes in election security is that of computerized balloting. Other holes are those of mail-in ballots, and laws in some counties (in some states) that allow anyone owning local property to vote without living locally (more fees, fee hikes, laws against property rights, etc., by folks from cities).

Some other states are requiring biometrics (computerized facial recognition, fingerprinting, etc.) and proof of residence for drivers’ licenses without allowing land deeds or P.O. boxes as proof (only utility bills and the like recognized—difficult for folks too far from power grids, land lines, etc.). And there’s no mail delivery to many residents on the Rockies, for example (P.O. boxes only). Kinda presents some dilemmas, doesn’t it.

Adelman was appointed by Bill Clinton and is seated for life. he has a history of letting off child pornographers and other perverts.

In Texas they found a judge that promised to rule on Voter ID in September, just to be sure that there wouldn’t be time to appeal.

Hopefully the Republicans can figure that out, but given their Amnesty performance I doubt it.
