I have observed viewpoints from extreme left to not so extreme left to almost left of center. But rarely, if ever, I have seen the word DINO thrown around.
Actually there are more registered democrats than republicans in the country. And democrats are a more diverse conglomeration ranging from rich white liberals, blue collar, blacks, Hispanics, militant feminists, recent immigrants, yuppies, Muslims, welfare dependents, etc.
Yet, it is rare for one democrat to turn on another. Whereas I see the word RINO used constantly. Whatever happened to Reagan's 11th commandment (or was it Buckley's commandment)?
On conservative blog sites such as FR, what I see is we dislike more candidates than we like by a ratio of 10:1. I wonder if this is a smart policy.

I remember several years ago I had to ask here what DU was. I had no idea. It didn’t take long for fellow freepers to educate me about what a vile place it was.
The Democrats and the Mainstream Press have done a good job of painting the Republicans as extremist while they've been going to the extreme left themselves.
Right now the Democrats ideal is for children is to be high on pot and having homosexual sex. And if they stray into heterosexual sex, the Democrats can absolve them with their sacrament of abortion payed at the taxpayers expense.
They rarely break ranks or leave party line.

I recall Obama attacking Lieberman on Senate floor because he was rebuffing him on something, possibly trying to help Hillary against him in 2008.
How often does a Rat come across the aisle to help out the Republicans on an issue? I mean when it really counts, not when their vote won’t make a difference.

The last passable “moderates” were run out in 2010 after they voted for Obamacare with some “promise” that abortion would not be part of it.
There hasn’t been a conservative Dem at the national level in years.
They instead called Lieberman everything else when he supported Bush in the Iraq war, which most Democrats voted in favor of and then said they were against. DINO is too polite a term for them.
A RINO is just another democrat, so it doesn't apply.
Of course “DINO” is not used.
RINO is used to describe Republicans without conservative principals.
Democrats have no principals to be without.
The Democrat Party is just about grabbing all you can or causing harm to those you don’t like.
Ironically, it may be the very patchwork structure of the party that makes such cohesion and control possible. There's no overall vision or philosophy: each group wants something. It's easier for members of different racial or ethnic or economic or ideological factions to get together to vote for each other's pet projects than it would be if some factions were opposed on principle to more government, more taxation, and more spending.
Democrats are NOT a more diverse party. Democrats are white liberal elites propped up victim groups they give money our money to...
The late, great radio host Terry Anderson used to talk about this. Democrats give their base just what it wants. Republicans, on the other hand, seem to look down on their base and work against them. Pushing amnesty, for instance.

You do understand that there are literally only a handful of DINOs left in Congress...don’t you? And they are DOMINATED by the progressive DimocRATS who vastly outnumber them. And the number of DINOs in Congress continues to decrease with every election.
However, in the Republican caucus in Congress, the GOPe congressional leadership RINOs currently rule over the caucus and, at best, pay lip service to the conservative agenda. In recent elections the number of true conservative Republicans has been increasing in Congress so the RINOs have to be very “slippery” to advance the RINO agenda as the DimocRATS’ junior partners. The percentage of RINOs in the Republican caucus has been decreasing and the tipping point may come after the 2014 (and certainly by the 2016 election). The GOPe RINOs and their supporters understand this very clearly which is why they are making war on the Tea Party and other constitutional conservatives. Control of the Republican congressional caucus may be decided by a handful of votes after this year’s election which is why this struggle is ongoing.
By the way, you aren’t advocating that the constitutional conservatives in the Republican Party UNILATERALLY DISARM (i.e., stop pointing out that RINOs are in fact RINOs) while the GOPe continues its war on constitutional conservatives, are you?
I have to laugh about the idea of Democrats being “disciplined” or “loyal” or whatever. They’re a bunch of screaming, backstabbing, underhanded, hyporitical liars - and that’s the ones who get along. Their party seems “unified” because no pat of it agrees with any other part of it - the same way a gravel bed appears “unified,” from far enough away.
Rats live on fear and punishment and rewards. There is no loyalty in these creatures. The money and perks have to constantly flow, all the time, or they will turn against each other. They live in a world of endless treachery and psychological violence shading into madness. They are always afraid, always scheming, always hurting each other, kicking each other out, buying each other off. They trust nobody - least of all their own, because they know they have no “own.” Every one of them is instantly expendable at a every moment, and they all know it because they constantly remind each other of it by destroying each other. They live lives of sheer terror.
That’s why they are so rigid and erupt into rage when a conservative tries to talk issues with them. They don’t give a DAMN about issues - they ONLY care about obedience, and not getting destroyed, and not being interpreted as a “traitor,” and getting their perks and money while living another day. Democrats already live in hell, a hell of their own making. They have no peace, ever. They slam down anti-depressants, they drink like fish, their relationships are constantly shredded and they eat the souls of their own families and children in order to get what they want.
They are completely, totally insane.
