Immigration Bill Hinges on New Obama Attitude, Boehner Says

A week after mocking his Republican troops over their resistance to an immigration bill, Speaker John A. Boehner returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday with a different message: Any movement on an overhaul will depend on a new White House attitude toward Republicans in Congress.

But Republicans and Democrats, both publicly and privately, suggested that a narrow window for an immigration bill could open early in the summer — after most of the midterm Republican primaries — if Congress and President Obama build cooperative good will on smaller bills in the coming weeks.

Meeting with House Republicans behind closed doors on Tuesday, Mr. Boehner defended statements he made in his Ohio district last week, when he called members of his conference babies who were whining at the difficulty of moving forward on immigration legislation. The speaker told his members on Tuesday that he was simply kidding around, but he admitted that perhaps he had gone “a little too far.”

No, the immigration bill hinges on how quickly Boner (and the GOP) caves.

this is all bs.

if there is new attitude, it will be fake. just like boner’s demands of obama are fake.

it’s all fake. gop-e/rinos and the socialists they want to love them, are playing low-info voter theater together.

FUJB! You were elected to represent Americans and you swore a oath to support the Constitution. You are a oath breaker and a traitor, in other words you are a democrat!

“...if Congress and President Obama build cooperative good will on smaller bills in the coming weeks.”

I get it. If President Obama gives Boener, Cantor, and a few others a water-works project in their districts, then our leaders will give the president 30,000,000 NEW DEMOCRAT VOTERS.

...sounds like a great deal to me, can’t see why we should oppose this.

I’m supporting whatever DimocRAT ends up running against Boehner (even if it is Gus Hall rising up from the grave) and also whoever runs against Eric Cantor and Cathy McMorris-Rodgers. Whatever it takes to get rid of this despicable, duplicitous troika.

Immigration Bill Hinges on New Obama Attitude, Boehner Says

Uh, no... What about right and wrong? What about the fact that they are here illegally? What about the fact that they stress the welfare programs (that should be eliminated anyway, but that’s a different thread) beyond the breaking point?

Instead of right and wrong, Boner puts it all on Zero’s attitude? They both should be in prison.

Obama’s entire life of lies, deception, and outright hatred for anything less statist than he and Boehner will suddenly think, “THIS time, he’s serious.”

Just because GOP primaries are over in late summer does not mean
millions of conservatives still wont stay home in protest in November
elections. Pass amnesty and watch the bottom drop out of the GOP.

A week after mocking his Republican troops over their resistance to an immigration bill, Speaker John A. Boehner returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday with a different message: Any movement on an overhaul will depend on a new White House attitude toward Republicans in Congress.

The overhaul should NOT depend upon the attitude of the White House toward Republicans. This is about the citizens of the USA.

The overhaul should be a two step process. The first step is to secure our borders and STOP the illegal immigration flow. The second step is to take whatever time is necessary to come up with a compassionate plan to deal with that segment of the illegal immigrants who are working, raising families, and contributing to the economy and culture of the USA.

The criminal element of the illegals in gangs, in jail, or on the run should be deported. It took thirty years to get where we are; so take another five to develop a plan that is fair to those who waited in line.

Here is a bill you can pass: Send the illegals back to Mexico and let them figure out who goes where.

If you hurry up you can use the school buses that don’t get used until late August.

Then you can lock down the border.

Don’t care that the Senate won’t pass it...you kept your word: you passed a bill.

SCREW what zero wants or how he feels.
