Navy orders 10 nuclear subs for $17.6B in most lucrative contract ever

The U.S. Navy plans to build 10 new SSN 774 Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarines over the next five years. Price tag: $17.6 billion.

A contract with General Dynamics Electric Boat and chief subcontractor Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding was announced Monday, the Navy Times reported.

There are also a number of J-10’s and ground vehicles parked at the west end of the strip.

This base has lots of skirting for transport a/c during a surge, right before the strike.

Since the Yaehama Islands (which are uncontested Japanese territory nearby) include SEVEN airfields it is HIGHLY LIKELY that a PRC play for the Senkakus will also involve Chinese occupation of 1 or more of the 7 islands in the Yaehama island chain, about 35 miles from Taiwan.

That picture in 10 is real interesting. They went to a lot of trouble to paint that big dispersal loop and the building roofs camo though I think they could have done a better job. I do like the ponds they put into the camo paint jobs..
The four fighters on the left would show up better with their gray paint than they do on the concrete though. (Ooops, make that “tarmac” for all the retards out there that think cement and conrete are made out of tar macadam).
