The reality that the government can collect $7,000 additional dollars per year from you for a product they can control access to is just way too tempting for politicians.

Trust none of them who softpedal the repeal of this wreck. What's next? The government forces you to buy a GM car or you pay a penalty?

The only thing “saving” this law from a horrific death is the fact that the employer mandate has been put off into the future. This is why Captain Midnight did it. This is where 9 out of 10 people get their health insurance.

The overwhelming Medicaid enrollments will morph this POS into the new single-payer.

“The employer mandate will be implemented before 2016.”

Maybe.

Repeal it or lose your seat.

Let me get this straight. Going into 2016, the GOP will not find the courage to promise repeal of the most hated, destructive, job-killing, freedom usurping law since the 16th Amendment?

At least this column honestly emphasizes perceived electability rather than the good of the country. The promise of repeal will damage GOP chances in 2016. Okay, so relection and power are more important than excising the evil that is Obamacare.

Stepping back, and looking at the bigger picture, this GOP that can't promise repeal is the means through which freedom will be restored?

Since the GOP has washed its hands of repealing this despised Obamacare, it is beyond silly to think it will ever consider the other reforms necessary to save our republic.

This column is further evidence of the GOP’s status as junior partner in the Uniparty, and as such, it is uninterested in restoring freedom. Reform cannot emerge from Washington, DC.

An Article V state initiated constitutional amendment convention is our only hope.

I disagree with your statement about corporate interests pushing for immigration reform as a way to drive down wages. With labor participation rates in the U.S. at historical lows for the foreseeable future, there's already a built-in wage suppression going on.

I've long said that corporate America is pushing for immigration reform as a way to flood the country with more customers, not more workers. Obamacare is a perfect case in point. The whole thing is built on mandates that force people to buy insurance policies that nobody in their right mind would ever buy -- with enormous premiums and very high deductibles that force the policy holder to pay for thousands of dollars in medical care out of his/her own pocket every year before they get a dime of insurance coverage. In short, the system relies on tens of millions of people who are ignorant suckers who will be paying inflated premiums to cover the higher costs of older Americans.

The immigrants are the suckers, folks.

I do agree with your point here.

Obamacare isn't going to be repealed even if there are enormous Republican majorities in both Houses of Congress and there is a Republican in the White House. The economics of Obamacare, however, will eventually cause it to collapse under its own weight.

The last time we had a Republican president and Republican control of the House and Senate we got Medicare prescription drug coverage -- the largest expansion of Federal entitlements in a generation.

I rest my case.

They are probably right but the real reason is the fecklessness, duplicitiy and treachery of theRepublican elite.

Yep!

Contemporary political debate has been reduced to the level of sporting events. It is team rat v. team GOP. Salaries, perks and wealth are what drive these people, not our aggregate freedom and prosperity.

Not every one who is having insurance cancelled is going onto the ACA exchange. If you want to suggest that 35 million more will be on medicaid then we can niggle over the number.

Frankly until WE start pushing back and calling out the lying liars we will get more like O.....you know Hillary followed by Rahm etcetc
