I didn’t put up with this kinda crap when I was in high school back in the early 70’s. If they had been doing this sort of thing back then, I’d have walked into one of my classrooms as we were all arriving for class, grabbed a piece of chalk (us older guys know what that is), drawn a tow foot long gun on the chalk board, and under it, quoted the Beatles: “Happiness is a warm gun”.
If they tried to do anything about it I’d threaten to sue due to my first amendment rights being clearly violated.
Smiling, always smiling. I’d have also called them ignorant and gutless idiots. To their faces.
I can say this because I actually did that sort of thing back then, sans threatening lawsuits.

You sound like my son. He quietly told off the superintendent during graduation ceremony as she handed him his diploma He wasn’t rude or vulgar but afterwards she quit passing them out and retired to her fold up chair.
The issue was over how a STEAM program was mishandled.
There are some teachers who would like to shake his hand. The woman is not very popular with faculty
