My son almost attended a school which felt their mascot name was too violent, so they changed it.
They went from the "Sharks" to "Sailboats".

Sharks are violent? I wonder how so? Because of their portrayal in the media?

Oneidas should be disciplined for having super-tight casinos where payouts are few.

What about the Kansas City Chiefs? Their logo is an arrowhead, a weapon, and the name of their stadium is Arrowhead Stadium. If the Redskins are forced to change then the Chiefs needs to be required to change theirs.
We can say that we am offended by having a weapon used as a logo and the name of a stadium and force it to change that way.

It is a private business and a private matter and no you are not protected on dam* iota from the court of 'social justice.'
None of this is about racism or bigotry people. Please WAKE UP! It is about fundamental transformation and community organization...it is the soft version of Mao's template!
Obama's Red Guard
It is starting, there is now blood in the water. Up until now, nothing has circled the sharks. Sports though...nothing like sports to bring people together and trigger 'social justice.' If the government doesn't step in and stop vigilante social justice, we are doomed. Trust me on this though, Obama and Biden support this kind of social justice. The even encourage it from the mob. From racism to homosexuality to environmentalism...please pull it together and realize the community organizer is giving his hat tip on all of this.
"When you have the president and the vice president and the White House standing with these players in this league, that is a testament to what sports can do," Johnson added on CBS. "Sports brings people together. It allows us to talk about real issues, and again I think our players did a superb job."

After the indian names are scrubbed from the sporting world we can start changing the names of cities rivers and other places. This is like the Egyptians removing all public references to out of favor people. I vote for changing the name of oneida New York first to get the ball rolling.

Christians unite: it is offensive that a team from the Big Easy is called the Saints. They should rename to the New Orleans Queens. (most memorable things to me about New Orleans are the transvestites and the voo doo queen)

Yep. Harry Reid gave a speech declaring that something must be done about the Redskins name knowing full well that he has no power to do anything. It was a call to arms and top down activism.
To: Biggirl
The Redskins should move ten miles north of DC to a part of Maryland with a little more land.
"The Savage Redskins" sounds a whole lot less PC than "The Washington Redskins". If you're going to offend the perpetually pouting class, you might as well make their heads explode.
