The president of the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP resigned Thursday, following scrutiny of his plan to give Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling an award for promoting civil rights.
Jenkins explained that Sterling had been selected owing to his history of donating to minority charities and giving game tickets to inner-city children. The Donald T. Sterling Charitable Foundation gave $5,000 to the NAACPs Los Angeles chapter in 2010, according to tax records, and Sterling was listed as his foundations only contributor. There were no records of further NAACP contributions in 2011 or 2012, the latest years for which records were available.

Convicted criminal resigns...
Why was he elected/appointed in the first place?
This story ain’t over.
If some newspaper needs a really cool story that hasn't been washed by Democrats they can interview some of the 'children' who used those tickets... I'd be surprised if half the tickets were given to inner city poor kids...
NAACP is chock full of disreputable characters — and its racism is as bad as that of the Klan.
I’d be surprised if all the money even made it to the ticket booth.
Amazing what one falling domino can do.
OMG what a great loss to humanity! NOT!

Anyone want to work on it?
Are we ready for scorched earth fun? Besides a team of attorneys, Sterling is going to have a team of private investigators looking for dirt on every owner who votes him off the island. Affairs, bribes, kickbacks, etc are going to be all over TMZ.
I see your point, but I didn’t like the Mozella like attacks.
I like Rush's version:
NAALCP - National Assoc. for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People.
Black's on the Right don't count.
LOL I thought the AL in NAALCP was for Al Sharpton!
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People [NAACP] is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all person.
Here is the scumbag’s history.
Yes...and if the word colored is offensive, why aren’t they using the PC term: NAAPOC, Natl Assoc of People of Color? I’m a person of color myself. Kind of pink-ish beige.
I mean natl assoc for the advancement of people of color...
LOL. Comedian George Carline mentioned you and the other absurdities about race:
Teresa Heinz Kerry could technically be called an African-American given her birthplace...
Obama is described as black yet his mother was of the same race as my late mother—white. (Also, a bit of trickery here, but I could say that Barack Obama is dead and Ted Kennedy is alive. It’s true. Barack Obama _Sr_ is dead while Ted Kennedy _Jr_ is alive... )
Also Carlin says:
>>Liberals should be taught that labels divide people, and I think that we can do with fewer labels, not more.
I could imagine someone meeting a dwarf and saying, “Oh, that’s a midget—wait, that might be offensive...dwarf? Little person? Short-statured? What should I call him?”—and the little guy looks over at the average sized person and says, “You can call me Jim.” :)
