Posted on 05/02/2014 11:56:33 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer
... Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., denounced the subpoena of Kerry as "shockingly disrespectful," protesting that Kerry should have been given more time to prepare and that committee chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., should have followed a more formal process for issuing the subpoena.
These actions are not a responsible approach to congressional oversight, they continue a trend of generating unnecessary conflict for the sake of publicity, and they are shockingly disrespectful to the Secretary of State, Cummings, the top Democrat on the oversight panel, said in response to the subpoena.

Cummings is a criminal and belongs in jail for his role in the IRS scandal.
Yeah, it’s racist too.
To bad time to get Hillary up there
Shut up, you despicable racist criminal.
No...Disrespectful is when you openly, routinely and maliciously insult and embarrass the American taxpayers, who you are SUPPOSED to represent!
No other Secretary of State has been treated as badly by Congress than John Kerry. Must be because he’s black. /sarc.
This is the same guy who had the IRS target Conservatives..screw you Cummings Id love to see this guy serving hard time in the pokey
Demonrat Elijah Cummings is shockingly disrespectful every time he steals oxygen.
There they go again with that “more time.”
Give them more time and then they argue you’re barred by laches, or from waiting too long.
Cummings is as crazy as a gingered mare.
He doesn’t represent any taxpayers. Just takers.
So finding out the TRUTH is racist now? I guess in a PC world that would be very true...
...and he deserves respect because...?
Come to think of it, I am ALSO finding it difficult to find any “respect” for the source of this quotation, in spite of his color and therefore apparently automatic entitlement to “respect”...
After all, these b*st*rds are ABOVE the law.
Dare to insult the KING or his ministers?
It’s racist not to afford John Kerry the White privilege he deserves. He has a rich wife, you know. And it’s not his first.
FLAK is heaviest when you are over the target!
Shut up Mr. Big Hands...
What? Is someone being “equinist” by “disrespecting” Kerry?
Or is Kerry secretly black? Or is Cummings trying to pull a fast one and implying Kerry is black and this is racially motivated?
It’s also extremely racist that Blacks were not proportionally represented in the gaggle of people who f’ed up Benghazi.
Hey, *dude*, it's like fresh on his mind, not like it was 2 years ago, or anything.
Sheesh, these 'Rats want it both ways: Can't nail them for killing 4 Americans if it was 2 years ago, and can't nail them for killing 4 Americans if it was 2 minutes ago.
Respect is EARNED, its not part of the office furniture!
posted this earlier. Fits here too:
The racism charges could easily be countered by merely and forcefully asserting the truth for once in their lives.
When Cummings and co pull the race card, simply counter with Congressman, the president would not be seated in his office today and had the opportunity to let our people die in Bhenghazi were it not for racist white people going to the polls to elect him.
Then follow with On the other hand, the CBC had done nothing but blame whites since its inception. We are not here to help you fulfill your agenda. We are here to determine why this administration lied to America for 2 years and what they were, with your help, trying to hide that resulted in dead people.
Why is that so hard? Why is a statement like the above too much for any congressman to ask?
I would forcefully applaud any such statement, putting them in their place and calling them on using race as a front to advance the leftist agenda.
But can you imagine the air being sucked out of the room when such a statement was made?
This reminds me of the person that finally calls the alcoholic on his unacceptable behavior when the whole family has spent all his life covering for him.
Bobble Head Cummings...don’t worry no need to be jealous of Kerry, you’re subpena should be coming soon enough.
All the more reason to do it.
You’re a sideshow now, Cummings.
I don’t know. Send your quote to your rep. Maybe he will forward it on.
I’m in AZ. Why bother.
Elija, NOT calling him would be most disrespectful since he is the top state department representative last time I checked.
Liberals, everyone wants to be top dog, but doesn’t want to be held accountable. So, Elija, who will step forward and accept accountability and answer questions for the actions of the state department if not John Fearless Kerry.
He was wounded in Vietnam you know...should be a cakewalk for him.
Yep, Cummings is heavily implicated in using the IRS against political enemies.
That should be a capital offense.
Shut up,Elijah,just shut up.
It is disrespectful to the concept of LAW
that Cummings is not in jail
for letting corruption fester — with his help -—
to the level it is.
I really am continually amazed at the brazen hypocrisy and outright reprehensibility of liberals.
Wow! I really feel sorry for the Democrats. They have to rely on this moron (Cummings) to go to bat for them.
Yeah, or how many of them, in their “more time” have retired and beomce unavailable or simply can’t remember, because it has been too long?
Almost as “shockingly disrespectful” as what those four Americans went through, right Elijah? Almost! Idiot! Stop being part of the KNOW NOTHING “congress” and let’s get to the bottom of this!
Well if you count 0bama and Rice, maybe Holder, Valerie J...
Like Obama, he’s got the “melanin shield” to keep people from pointing out his corruption and incompetence.
That’s why the ‘rats put him out front.
"In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell
I don't care about Kerry, get Hillary, Nuland, and the rest of State's "honchos" at the time, and put them under oath.
Kerry is a sideshow.
Paging Valerie Jarrett, please pick up the white courtesy phone in the Hall.
Elijah Cummings goes to Sheila Jackson Lee for advise!!
Now, it isn’t like Jean-Francois Kerre` hasn’t ever testified before Congress, like on April 22, 1971, when he very assertively laid out what he thought was the case against the Viet Nam “involvement”.
Come on, Mr. Secretary. Use your finely honed oratory skills to explain just what happened in Benghazi. And don’t spare anybody’s feelings.
Yep, and the liberal searchlights are sweeping the skies over Washington waiting for the next bomb to drop on their ant hill of deceit and deception.
