Whatever your take on the situation, it is an outright lie to frame the conflict in those terms.

But wasn't it the equally elected parliament impeach the president?

If our Senate voted to convict an impeached president and remove them from office would you call that a coup?

When the Parliamentarians can look out the window and see a mob burning police alive, that's called, "coercion".

Therefore, it was not a legitimate vote by a legally elected Parliament. It was a vote made under duress at best if not outright made at gunpoint.

If it happened the way it did in Ukraine with militant skinhead groups chasing the president out of office and then standing around government building intimidating the remaining lawmakers, damn straight it’s a coup.
