Are the End Times Upon Us? Author Says ‘Unrestrained Immorality’...
The Blaze ^ | 5/2/14

Is mankind evolving into a more peaceful and prosperous people – or are we on a path toward ever-increasing moral depravity, social chaos and destruction?

Harvest House Publishers Harvest House Publishers Answering that dichotomy depends on one’s worldview, but Christian author Jeff Kinley is in the latter camp, telling TheBlaze that he sees human beings continuously and perilously cutting God out of society.

“I look around my world and I think, ‘Wow, we’ve written God out of our own story here,’” Kinley recently said in an interview. “We’re content in living in our own lives.”

Predictions of the end have tempted every generation.

The purposeful DESTRUCTION of unborn life and marriage certainly portends the demise of the societies promoting those activities.

I wonder if instead God will raise a generation from somewhere else to carry on His gospel. America has dropped the ball. Maybe China, where Christianity is growing by leaps and bounds?

The world was “exceedingly evil” in the days of Noah and were destroyed by water.. Sodom and Gomorrah offended God with their wickedness and were destroyed by fire. God destroys evildoers.

Why should our wicked nation, whose people had every opportunity to know better than to do these evil deeds, think that God will go easy on us? “Deliver us from evil,” O Lord!

While considering what the Bible says about the end times can create nervousness in some, Kinley said that it’s not all “gloom and doom.” He believes that there are many people who follow Christ today and that their faith offers hope; now, he wants to reach even more people with the gospel.

Well said!

TRANSLATION: “I am the most important human being who ever lived in the billions of years this planet has been around, therefore it makes total sense that the world would end while I am still here. I mean, what would be the point of the world going on after I’m dead?”

It is not the particular static state of immorality at any given time that counts, but it is the trend one observes. The trend is towards ever increasing amorality. At present Western civilization is in the PROCESS of collapse it has not collapsed. Rome lasted for several centuries after the Republic died. However, in our case Western Civilization was and is so pervasive that when it collapses it may drag down nations heavily influenced by its methods and outlook. Then the world will be in the state predicted by the bible.

We do know one thing:
Each day brings us one day closer to the return of Jesus.

In the Bible, the sin that often provoked the wrath of God is that of vanity. In effect, Lucifer, and later mankind, trying to pretend that they were God.

As far as mankind is concerned, our problem is that we keep confusing our authority to *describe* reality with God’s authority to *define* reality. That is, we can name an apple “an apple”, but this is nothing compared to actually making an apple.

It bugs the heck out of a lot of men that the abstracts they have created to describe reality do not define reality. So instead they pretend that their abstracts actually do define reality. “My calling an apple ‘an apple’ actually *makes* it an apple.”

Eventually, men figured out that the most reassuring way for them to pretend to define reality was to take the Bible, and substitute man for every reference to God. That is, to purge God entirely, and put man in His place.

This is called socialism. But since they are lazy, they just discard the parts of the Bible they consider boring, and keep only the “magical” parts, corrupted to their own ends.

When I see Christians in America persecuted as they are now in Saudi Arabia and Nigeria, and that persecution being worldwide, then I’ll consider the end times to be near.

Ha Ha-

well only “certain Christians” will be persecuted-

The Lutheran ELCA- gets a pass
The Episcopalians- gets a pass
The Unitarians- gets a pass

the United Church of Christ- O’bummers pastor-still
gives seminars- gets a pass. And I am sure Satan is looking
to seduce many other “ministers” and “churches” to his Evil ways

You almost got it right. Actually, the churches you mentioned will be the persecutors.
