CA Dem Congresswoman Barbara Lee Calls For $26 Minimum Wage
Fox Nation ^ | Brendan Bordelon

California Democratic congresswoman Barbara Lee expressed support for a $26 minimum wage in her state — a move Republican congressman Andy Harris encouraged, assuming jobs would rapidly flee California to his state of Maryland.

Lee and Harris appeared Friday on CNN’s “Crossfire,” hosted by former Obama advisor Van Jones and former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. The panel discussed the proposed increase in the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour.

“Let me ask you this question, you’re a good advocate for this,” Gingrich asked Lee. “The mayor of Seattle is proposing that the minimum wage ought to go up to $15 an hour.”

Exactly and it proves yet again how out of touch with reality the freakin’ Rats and RINOs are. Just absolute uneducated naive morons. Oh sure they got their college degrees, but as we have seen time and time again, especially in the case of Sheila Jackson Lee, what they learned in school went in one ear and out the other whereas today, they have the intellect and experience of 3 year olds. “Mommy, why can’t we pay people $3000 gabillion dollars an hour?” SAME exact kind of mentality!

She claims to have owned a business that employed 300 people, and that she paid a “living wage”, whatever that is for California. I call BS.

Not $25, but $26? Is this like how Obama claimed there were 7.1 million sign ups instead of just $7 million? Like its more legitimate?

If they raise the minimum wage to even 15..they will need to raise other people’s wages also..who will do a tough job for 15 when they can get 15 doing something simple.

With the fed creating money out of thin air, sooner or later, that won't seem so crazy.

--That will be $35 for your Big Mac combo, please.--

That's for the 'veggie' Big Mac. If you want it with meat, it'll be $48.

Of course it will drive up wages and thusly, prices of everything. What they are doing is destructive and EVERYBODY with an ounce of brains knows it. Where are the economists shouting “THIS IS NUTS!!” ?

She probably won’t have a Republican opponent. In CA, the top two primary voters go on the Nov. ballot, regardless of party. And given her district, it will probably be another Democrat, though maybe a sane one.

I frequently hear libs claiming to have owned a business where they paid a ‘living wage’. But they are never current business owners and they never want to talk about their business experience in depth. Nor do they ever want to discuss why they no longer own their supposedly successful business.

$1000/hr...heck...how about $1 million/hr...everyone can be a millionaire...

Of course that will make inflation go through the roof, but it will make the dollar as worthless as Obama. We don't need a minimum wage, but incentive to get Americans back to work such as lower taxes.
