Because the Germans are afraid of economic blowback from the coup. The US and EU set this in motion, and now Merkel sees that trying to force Ukraine into the EU was a major mistake. Polls in Germany show the same thing.

Nobody is trying to force Ukraine into the EU. Ukrainians want to join the EU but the EU will not let them. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has happened because Ukrainians do not want to be Russia’s slaves.

Natural gas usage in Germany is partially tied to Russia (probably around thirty-to-forty percent). Tied to that....is the fact that every single year...gas prices have gone up by five to ten percent over the last decade.

Germans sit there and realize they really put themselves into a closed room. And electrical usage over the next decade will go the same way (almost no nuke plants in a decade)....so they will buy power from Russia or the Ukraine. All of this was planned years ago, and no one said a word...even the German journalists and news media.
