Gunshots fired by pro-Russian aggressors; first person killed
That’s when the first gunshots were fired.
One of the AntiMaidan supporters, armed with Kalashnikov machine gun, opened fire in a lane leading to Odessa’s main Derybasivskaya Street. A bullet hit a young football fan in the chest, killing him. Several dozen others were taken away by ambulance, injured by rocks.
After the first blood spilled, the violence escalated.

The pictures are in chronological order: Russian separatists moving towards the Ukrainian group, police in collusion, clashes, Russians armed with AKs firing from behind police shields, then Ukrainian crowd advancing towards the Trade Union building, fire, victims.
It’s a Russian media news report.
First clip of the “Banderite” shooting into the building that was set on fire (Russian media wouldn’t mention that earlier in the day Russians were firing into the Ukrainain crowd), then Ukrainian girls making Molotovs, then Facebook posts from eyewitnesses (funny that I just posted a thread about one) and then comments from “happy” Ukrainians celebrating a tragedy (Russian media wouldn’t mention that Ukraine had declared 2 days of mourning over this)
I should tell you that many, if not most of the pro-Russian element in Ukraine are Communists.
The Ukrainian police showed remarkable restraint while trying to separate their own people from the Russians. And while some of the Russians used them as human shields to shoot at the Ukrainians.

It’s one of the challenges of translation (do you go for literal meaning, or the closest English word?) but I think a reasonable translation of the lyric would be “Putin’s a f@ck, la-la-la-la...”

There’s nothing about fire truck crashing into the separatists to start the clash. Only mentioning of Ukrainians taking over the truck was when the fighting already started (http://vesti.ua/odessa/50165-v-odesse-samooboronovcy-zahvatili-pozharnuju-mashinu) But I’ll be glad to look at your sources.
Events in Odessa, leads to the most important observation/concern..
There was separatist Russians camped in tents on the trade Hall
plaza.Most were foreigners, and some armed like little green men.
Across town a real big group of Maidan folks having a support UK rally and
the russians went there to confront them and couple Maidan folks shot.
Police didn’t stop russians...
Huge rally reacted and drove russians back to the Trade Hall where Russians
holed up, and Maidan burnt their tents out in front of hall, and they. Maidan,
were concentrated out front of the hall.. Both sides throwing firebombs, building
set fire and some Russains died. The police were in back of hall and many
russians escaped out the back and were finally arrested, at least on paper....
Now today a bunch of russian supporters went to police station and forced release
of 67 russians, mostly foreigners(terrorists). Like an inside job with
the police being complicit, as before when they didn’t stop russians from going
to the Maidan rally..
IMPORTANT OBSERVATION.. KYIV IS ‘’ASLEEP AT THE SWITCH’’, AS THERE SHOULD BE
ARMY/NAT GUARD DIVISION IN ODESSA TO REPLACE RUSSIAN LEANING COPS AND ARREST
AND DEPORT FOREIGN RUSSIANS.
And secure coast all the way east to and including Kherson, east to water canal.
They can not only concentrate on the Donbass, for if they lose Odessa and
the coast, NO WAY IN HELL they can hang onto the Donbass.
Edmond do any of your contacts have away to tell Kyiv that they
are not using the right strategy. And if they say they don’t have
enough military then, get them to get help from US/EU.FR/UK/Nato
with NATO troops put in Odessa and the coast while it is open.
If they don’t act soon Putin will have it in a walk through, before
the May 25 election and have 120% vote, phony separatist referendum..
And then trying to save the Donbass area becomwa impossible.
As the UK army there is just suckered in, tied up, if there is no plans
to make sure they don’t lose the coast, no matter what is thrown at
them there on the coast, IE; keeping the coast is what UK military
success hinges on, and as well as economic success later in having
trade freedom with the rest of the world.. .......
SO WHAT— The free speech and right of assembly laws
that is in every nations constitution, doesn’t apply or
allow foreigners to barracade streets, demonstrate,
confront other demonstrators, speak out in public, etc.
They were illegal enemy combatants, and whether a truck
ran over them or they fell down and got pissed on

I watched the whole thing live.It’s very confusing.The crowd that they said were from the game were carrying bats and jugs and smashing glass as they walked the streets.They ended at a street and it was a standoff with the cops.They moved to a new street and that’s when they stared throwing fire bottles and some fires broke out.The cops were on the other side.Then I saw a man with a gun from the other side climb up ,take aim and fire at the crowd.Then the crowd left for the building.They got there and burnt down the tents.Then they started a fire at the doors.People started hanging out the windows.I saw a dead man hanging out.Other people tried to rescue them but when they down to the ground the crowd started beating them up.The cops showed up and then the firemen.They showed a shot of the street and there were about 8 dead in the street.I saw a van and a man jump out with an automatic weapon.Stop watching it was too much.

This Berkut trash is unbelievable. Give them brooms and tell them to sweep the streets. That would keep them out of trouble and is all they are worth.
What is their motivation for such outragous Treason? Do they expect a shirtless Putin to arrive on horseback to save them? Or have they been on the Russian payroll so long that they might be killed if they don’t follow the FSB orders?
When Maidan was happening, many were evoking the memories of the 2004 Orange Revolution. However, during the summer of 2013 there was an event which was unheard of in Ukraine, but it helped to set the tone of the Euromaidan, the Vradiyivka rape case and storming of the police station
