This past week was the biggest in a long time for Benghazi news. How did some of the leading lights of the lefty blogosphere handle the Ben Rhodes e-mail and related topics? We report; you decide.
1. David Corn of Mother Jones, best known for bringing to light the Mitt Romney 47-percent tape, wrote on Friday that the Rhodes e-mail is "pretty standard stuff" and that "all the fuss about [it]...is smoke, not fire." Corn admits that the White House "certainly has bungled part of its Benghazi reaction" but that the Republicans' case nonetheless "should have been...closed, a long time back."
Corn wrapped up by suggesting that conservatives' obsession with Benghazi resembles an untreatable "virus," one that apparently makes them really hungry for sweets (emphasis added):

The rats in the Senate and the House did the same thing during the 2008 and 2010 election because their reelection was more important to them than passing a budget
The WH lies about EVERYTHING! If it is not important why are they lying and covering it up. When do they ever tell the truth? Who was in Benghazi? We still don’t know because they are allowed to keep using the “ongoing investigation” ploy. Just like Fast and Furious and IRA and NO ONE in the press gives a crap except Fox and they have given up on F&F too. This is what a successful stonewall/coverup looks like.
If the bins are empty then what do they have to worry about and why did they have to come up with the video lie?

We don’t know where Obama was that night..did anyone every asked a gay bathhouse manager if he was there that night?

Poor choice of words considering there were hours of smoke and fire in Benghazi that night brought about by muslim terrorists — and which culminated in untold injuries and four dead Americans. All this because the obama administration refused to even ATTEMPT to come to their rescue!
And instead of being outraged about that terrorist attack, and calling it what it was, the obama administration played politics — and continue doing so!
I’m outraged that there hasn’t been a bigger “fuss” for those Americans and their families!
Did you honestly expect the left being outraged about the terrorist attack were 4 Americans were killed including Ambassador Stevens?
1. Where was Obama?
2. Where was Hillary?
3. The military would have wanted to mobilize, who told them not to?
4. Many more than 4 could have been killed that day, others were saved - that IS a big deal.
5. How did you know there way no time to do anything? The battle raged for hours, could’ve been another day for all we knew.
6. Everybody knows that for weeks Obama and crew said it was about a video. They kept saying it, over and over, even when all the evidence pointed elsewhere and the CIA never mentioned a video.
7. They promised the families justice. What has been done? They lied to the face of the families stating they’d “get the person responsible (for the video)”. That is wrong itself, free speech.
8. They said we need to understand how this happened so it can’t happen again, yet this administration stonewalls on coughing up documents - we’ve still not received everything. How can we get to the bottom without being able to know everything that happened? Back to items 1,2,3.
9. We all know this was because of POLITICS - Obama, Hillary, etc. let these people die without lifting a finger because they wanted to blame A VIDEO so as not to look weak before the election.
...but for ABC/NBC/CBS/MSNBC/CNN/OBAMA, there’s not a story here????????????

Obama was not continuously in the situation room, but from my recollection of what Vietor said, it's possible that he was there at least briefly. But I don't recall exactly what Vietor said about it.

This is the same David Corn who thought Romney’s 47% statement was so important, but the death of four Americans, one an ambassador is not important. The only thing you need to know about Corn is that Democrats can do no wrong and Republicans and conservatives can do no right.
I remember when he was on FNC, he always let little spittle out when he talked. I knew right then what a lunatic he was
