Former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson joined the hosts of Fox & Friends on Monday and was asked for her thoughts on apparent efforts by former Obama administration officials Tommy Vietor and David Plouffe to dismiss the latest revelations about the response to the Benghazi attack. The former CBS reporter said that she believes there is a concerted effort to delegitimize investigations into that deadly 2012 attack orchestrated by people close to the White House.
Attkisson was asked for her thoughts on how the White House has reacted to the latest release of emails pertaining to the response to Benghazi, particularly Plouffe’s appearance on ABC News’ This Week in which he said the investigation into the attack was driven by a “delusional minority” of the GOP.
“The key words they use, such as ‘conspiracy’ and ‘delusional,’ are in my opinion clearly designed to try to controversialize a story — a legitimate news story and a legitimate area of journalistic inquiry,” Attkisson submitted.

Somehow, I think the effort to ridicule deaths isn’t destined for great success. But we can watch them try, and fail, to resist their instincts.
Do we think there will be some sort of recrimination for those on the left ridiculing the effort to gather the facts in this case? Worked real well in the case Barney Frank and the various other defenders of Frank Raines/FNM, didn’t it?
It is interesting how there is never a shred of credit given to Repubs or conservatives who foresaw EACH and EVERY defect with 0bamacare; who foresaw the possible collapse of FNM/FRE.
People DO act when their SELF interest is involved--Dems know this! Time for Conservatives to also realize this, and USE it for their self-interest, which will actually benefit our REPUBLIC!

Thanks for posting this. In my 5:30 a.m. morning haze after the dogs woke me up, I missed most of the interview and was going to hunt it up online at F&F. As a “mainstream” media reporter Sharyl Attkisson has found out what it’s like to go against their meme and actually do hard-hitting reporting on White House tactics designed to shift the narrative on this and other stories to just another Faux News made-for-TV ratings ploy.
That he wasn't calling the shots renders him as derelict in his duty.
That is the central issue here.
Lick the boots... deflect the ball... jump in front of the bullet... nothing to see here... move along... Obama is wonderful...

If it was a video that caused all this, let’s see the video. I am somewhat surprised that was never asked for.

Nothing to conversationalize! Obama, Hillary, and Kerry sat there and did nothing while it was all going on. When it was finished, they all got together and proclaimed that is was an internet film that caused the whole thing to detrack from the fact that the administration is completely inane and had no idea what to do. Nothing else can be or need be said.
Well, Kerry was just a senator at the time. Panetta was Secretary of Defense but I’m not sure how much blame he deserves—he may have tried but hit a brick wall trying to get Obama to do something. Maybe Obama asked Valerie and she wouldn’t give permission.
