Throughout history, religion has sanctioned and fueled the persecution of homosexuality. That dynamic may be drawing to an end. Polls, clerics, and denominations are shifting. Theology is adapting. Resistance to same-sex marriage is dwindling, and there’s no end in sight.
For 15 years, the Ethics and Public Policy Center has hosted the Faith Angle Forum, a regular conference on religion and public life. Several weeks ago, the group met again to discuss current issues. Transcripts of the conference have just been posted on EPPC’s website. They underscore the extent of the anti-gay collapse.
The first session, led by papal biographer Paul Vallely and Boston Globe editor John Allen, focused on Pope Francis and the Catholic Church. Vallely, the author of Pope Francis: Untying the Knots, noted that before Francis became pope, he supported civil unions in Argentina....
The conference’s second session dwelled on sin. The speakers, Cornelius Plantinga of Calvin College and Ross Douthat of the New York Times, discussed what we should feel bad about. Homosexuality wasn’t on the list.... “It used to be that people thought of homosexual acts as sinful,” he said. “Now they think of criticism of homosexual acts as sinful.”...
The next morning, we had our final session, on the culture wars. Molly Ball, the Atlantic’s terrific political writer, summarized the trend toward acceptance of same-sex marriage. Forty percent of Republicans and 61 percent of Republicans under 30 now favor it, she reported. So do 57 percent of Catholics and 55 percent of mainline Protestants....
There will always be Christians, Muslims, and Jews who condemn homosexuality.... But in this country, religious resistance is crumbling. It’s being overwhelmed by love, conscience, and a God who keeps creating gay kids, even in the most devout families. Over time, He will prevail.

Satan and the other demons put all sorts of sinful thoughts in our heads, including in some people thoughts of same-sex attraction. If people entertain such thoughts, they may harden into the delusion of “being gay” and even “being born gay”.
There are many. many other types of sinful thoughts and delusions, but the “gay” delusion seems to be the most “popular” one right now.
Spiritual warfare, such as is taught by the Orthodox Church, is central to the Christian life, especially during Great Lent and other fasting seasons, when the demons come out in force. And by that means, and by the true teaching of the Church, God protects us from the “gay” delusion, and many other evils as well.
Liberal William Saletan Announces Plan to ‘Purge’ Christians

They were always deadly serious about criminalizing Christianity and killing free speech, but now the American left has stopped pretending otherwise. In a recent column titled “Why Are They Called ‘Homofascists’? Here’s Why,” I wrote that “progressive,” “Christian-hating fascists” – but I repeat myself – are “hell-bent on criminalizing Christianity and pushing to the fringes anyone who publicly acknowledges natural human sexuality and the age-old, immutable institution of legitimate marriage as created by God.”
In an article titled, “Purge the Bigots,” Slate writer William Saletan penned these chilling words: “Some of my colleagues are celebrating. They call Eich a bigot who got what he deserved. I agree. But let’s not stop here. If we’re serious about enforcing the new standard, thousands of other employees who donated to the same anti-gay ballot measure must be punished.
“More than 35,000 people gave money to the campaign for Proposition 8, the 2008 ballot measure that declared, ‘Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California,’” he continued. “Why do these bigots still have jobs? Let’s go get them.”
Continued Saletan: “To organize the next stage of the purge, I’ve compiled the financial data into three tables” (he actually did this). He then listed details from, and linked to, the Proposition 8 hit list reportedly leaked by the Obama IRS and meticulously assembled and published by the Los Angeles Times.
This was all by design. It’s what led to Brendan Eich’s career beheading. But Eich was just the opening act. The list provides the exact names, employers, places of residence and dollar amounts of every single person in America who donated even a dime to the Golden State’s campaign to protect natural marriage (I realize it’s hopelessly symbolic, but as matter of principle I will not link to the list).
This is a level of voter intimidation and journalistic terrorism on the part of the Obama administration and the L.A. Times that is unprecedented in American history.
Not only that, this is the same God that makes boys that later need to be changed into girls according to them. And makes girls born as boys, etc.
Blasphemy.
However, there are some who will not back down. Sooner or later, these faithful will be arrest for "hate speech" or sued into insolvency by queer groups. Eventually, they will be hunted as believing Christians in China are hunted today.
Pastor and Bible teacher J. Vernon McGee predicted that someday the believing Church in America would have to go underground. He also predicted that the primary oppressors of the believing Church would be the mainline Protestant churches that are currently a hotbed of Leftism, homosexuality and baby murder. They are synagogues of Satan and attack real believers from the pulpit constantly, setting the stage for the eventual dehumanization of real believers.
Heck, even an atheist should be able to figure out that going “In through the Out Door” is not the most healthy of choices.

William Saletan on Roman Polanski’s drugging and raping thirteen year olds:
Human Nature : The Polanski Affair: The average age of menarche... has fallen two to four months per decade, depending on the country.... It’s quite plausible that the 13-year-old girl Polanski had sex with in the late 1970s was, to some degree, sexually mature. Having sex at 13 is a bad idea. But if you’re pubescent, it might be, in part, your bad idea.... A guy who goes after a womanly body that happens to be 13 years old is failing to regulate a natural attraction. That doesn’t excuse him. But it does justify treating him differently.... There’s a difference between pedophilia and taking advantage of somebody who’s old enough to be interested in sex but too young to judge the physical and emotional risks of messing around. If the legal officers and moral critics of the 1970s saw that distinction more clearly than we do, the shame is ours.
Huh? The Atlantic is that wannabe publication that pays to be on the front page of Yahoo, right? Give me a break.

There is an active campaign now to protect the “rights” of persons with AIDS from having to reveal their virus status to their sex partner(s). It can lead to “verbal and physical abuse” and “discrimination”.

Don't ask, don't tell is only bad for the military and corporate world. Newsrooms still love their closeted reporters who don't disclose WHY gay issues are so DAMNED (literally) important to them.
I grew up with people predicting the end of the world. As an adult I realized that things were as they have been since the world started and I doubted that the end would come in my lifetime.
I’m starting to suspect that it may occur before I die.
