The laws employer coverage mandate doesnt take effect until 2015, but early plan renewals are starting to roll in. And for some businesses, the premium jumps are positively painful.
Local insurance brokers are reporting spikes ranging from 35 percent to 120 percent on policies that renew from July to December. The increases are especially acute among employers with workforces made up of younger, healthier men. Thats because Obamacare prohibits offering lower rates to healthier groups. It also narrows the allowed premium gap between older and younger enrollees.

The changes put as many as 90,000 policies across Nevada at risk of cancellation or nonrenewal this fall
...
Nevada Insurance Commissioner Scott Kipper said March 25 that he doesnt have the discretion to allow noncompliant plans to stay in place, based on advice from Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto. That decision mirrored a fall conclusion that it would be illegal to reinstate the first wave of canceled plans.

This will be delayed.
Don’t ask me how, even Obama doesn’t know how at this time.
But he’ll figure it out.
This is a scene that will be played out 49 more times in the coming months. And, none of them will be pleasant.
But, it is in keeping with the plan by Zero and 0bamunists to further weaken America, destroy our freedoms, and secure reliance on fedgov for everything, from the cradle to the grave.
Just sayin’
What is the little corrupt crook with the droopy pants reid’s under the table payoff that will line his pockets with money?
“But hell figure it out.”
We are about to see the largest media and public relations campaign in history directed against the evil health insurance companies. It is almost time for the coordinated media campaign insisting single payer is the answer to all of the ACA’s perceived problems. Likely the academics at Harvard and the other Ivy League schools are being interviewed by the NY Times and Washington Post for the stories we’ll be reading about single payer over the next few months. After the elections, the propaganda machine will go full force pushing single payer, no matter how many seats they lose.
Our under-50-employee business just got the notice of our plan being cancelled when renewal comes in August; the providers flat out said it was due to Obamacare.
But the president said premiums would go down, so no worries! Especially with the huge numbers of millenial invincibles who signed up to take the load. /s
“Thats because Obamacare prohibits offering lower rates to healthier groups.”
Makes perfect sense to the idiots pushing this disaster.
Don’t worry, the GOPe will “fix” it.
All you have to do is FIRE half the employees, especially the ones that are too stupid to cast an intelligent vote.
Yes, the issue of single payer is coming and will be almost overwhelming.
The problem is that nearly everyone can still recall our ‘old’ system. I think the one thing Obama didn’t consider was how quickly ObamaCare would fall apart.
I’ll bet they thought they’d have a couple of years before introducing single payer, and they don’t have that luxury with things the way they are.
