Arctic sea ice at fifth lowest annual maximum
Arctic Sea Ice news and Analysis ^

Arctic sea ice reached its annual maximum extent on March 21, after a brief surge in extent mid-month. Overall the 2014 Arctic maximum was the fifth lowest in the 1978 to 2014 record. Antarctic sea ice reached its annual minimum on February 23, and was the fourth highest Antarctic minimum in the satellite record. While this continues a strong pattern of greater-than-average sea ice extent in Antarctica for the past two years, Antarctic sea ice remains more variable year-to-year than the Arctic.

I love the scroll function on my mouse. Use it to cruise right on past what doesn’t interest me.
Try it!
Thank me.

.... One of the dirty little secrets of the Climate Change/Global Warming movement is that the polar ice is diminishing. Well .... Yes ... they are absolutely RIGHT!!!! However the question needs to be asked ..... Which polar ice fields are they talking about? The Arctic ... or the Antarctic icecaps?
..... As my 90 year old mother keeps pointing out to me, When she was in school she was taught that when the Antarctic ice shrinks .... the Arctic ice grows and Visa Versa! Somewhere along the lines in the Climate Change movement, this little factual tidbit seems to have been lost .... or ignored! Thus making it so much easier to keep the low information public at the lowest level of information as possible and so much easier to control. Kind of like the proverbial Used Car salesman's dream. Except in this case ... the results are much more dire for the world of capitalism. A wet dream for the world of Social/Marxist/Communism

Hmmmn.
Today, just the EXCESS Antarctic sea ice extents alone - that amount of antarctic sea ice area LARGER than its normal for this day-of-the-year! - is 1.58 million square kilometers.
Sound like a lot?
Well, that EXCESS antarctic sea ice extents that the NSIDC is so quietly ignoring in this propagandist press release is 93% of the ENTIRE area of the Greenland ice caps.

****1978 to 2014 record. ***
But, wait! 1978 is when we were supposed to be entering the NEW ICE AGE! We were warned for years about it, so WHERE IS IT!

And what about the fact that lake Superior is currently 68% ice covered and is expected to remain partially ice covered into
late June?

That’s because all the Arctic ice is stuck in the Great Lakes.

Check out Joe Bastardi's Saturday Summary for the reason - heat accumulating in the Arctic while Antarctic remains cold. Read the book, The Chilling Stars. It has a wonderful explanation for this.
Henrik Svensmark's research is very eye opening. It is true science.
After reading that book and many others on this issue, I have come to the conclusion that man has absolutely NO effect on Climate change.

As if 36 years -- the 1978 to 2014 record -- wasn't an infinitesimal snippet in geological/climactic terms, akin to analyzing the entire movie "Gone with the Wind" based on a nanosecond of film footage.
Ludicrous.
