Let’s see if he really tries this. I’m unaware of any authority saying Departments have immunity from congressional subpoenas. Indeed, congressional oversight is mostly, primarily for the very purpose of finding out what departments are doing ( or have done) with our money (and in our name).

And they said NIXON was a Constitutional Crisis.

I guaran-damn-tee you, with the level of utter hubris and lawlessness, these people will not comply with the results of the 2014 elections, and in 2017, Obama will not comply with the requirement to leave the White House.

Kerry is no different than the Bush Administration subpoena’s in 2008...there is a precedence now so he needs to comply:

“Certainly the RNC should have enough money to put an outstanding public relations person on retainer.”

No, the GOPe figured that money was better spent trying to get rid if the Tea Party people and their candidates.

Will he comply with a subpoena for a contempt of Congress charge?

yes..arrest him when he returns

And pull his Diplomatic Passport as he is demonstrably a flight risk. Also confiscate his boat. We know Holder won't do anything.

Kerry has an attorney who can likely get a federal ‘continuance’ thereby postponing the subpoena, depending on who issued it; but he is announcing his defiance as he will not comply, but I think he will be getting some for of postponement ‘continuance’.... trying to make everyone think he is a hard a&$se...but truthfully, John Kerry can be made to comply or face a warrant.

AND the Congress can find him in CONTEMPT, if he gets out of line. That however, will take some B$lls on the part of the members. That remains to be seen.

HERE’S HOPING 2014 voters elect a Conservative Senate.

it most certainly is but, and here's why everyone wants to get into government, there is no controlling legal authority. There is no police group responsible for enforcing laws on the statists. As we used to say in the Nav - " nice work if you can get it "

I wish it were possible to have NO Bail for people like this, and put them in with the general population in prison, however, that would take a conviction; not likely.

Well, THAT ought to do it. Same as it did for Holder.
