The Obama administration has opened up a new front in its war on America’s eagles. For years, the president has relied on wind turbines to orchestrate his eco-genocide. Biologists estimate that wind farms kill as many as 328,000 birds each year by chopping them out of the sky. The administration’s successful weaponization of solar farms will only accelerate the death rate.
Studies indicate that the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System in California has proved to be an especially efficient apparatus for eagle extermination. The facility, which was financed in part by a $1.6 billion taxpayer-backed loan from the Department of Energy, has been incinerating innocent birds with heat lasers created by its massive array of 350,000 garage door-sized mirrors.
National Journal reports:
First, insects are drawn to the reflective light of the solar mirrors. That draws small, insect-eating birds, which in turn draw larger predatory birds. The rays of the mirrors’ reflected light produces temperatures from 800 degrees to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Any animal caught in the intense glare of the mirror’s rays may catch fire and plummet toward the ground, or spontaneously combust altogether.
Bloomberg notes that the birds are either “incinerated in flight; their feathers are singed, causing them to fall to their deaths; or they are too injured to fly and are killed on the ground by predators.” Birds that ignite after passing into the Ivanpah kill zone are known as “streamers.” Reports estimate that 141 birds have died at the Ivanpah facility, which opened in February.

Streamers? LOL!
They should build a large structure with a retractable roof, and only open it night to keep the bugs away. That will save the eagles!
Eagle extermination was no doubt one of the specific main goals Obama discussed with his future cohorts on the Columbia campus.
OTOH, if they are competing with you for your right to graze your cattle on some otherwise useless patch of land then that hand wringing in defense of the lowly tortoise will be their official call to battle.
I remember something about how environmentalists were so upset about certain projects when some obscure little fish,lizard,or even insect was endangered. Now we’re talking about eagles,a very much protected species,being killed. What’s with these hypocrites? I think in the long term,the solar & wind energy projects are costing more than they’re worth,whereas some of the protested projects in the past were not even subsidized. I guess it all depends on whose brilliant idea it is. If I shoot an eagle,I’m in big trouble. Why is it different when an arguably inefficient wind turbines kills many?
Environmentalists sacrificed millions of African children to malaria by banning DDT to kill mosquitos just because the shells of bird’s eggs were affected by the insecticide. But they don’t seem to care about the wholesale slaughter of birds due to Obama’s “green” bird-killing machines. Their religion harbors contra- dictions, it seems.
Their secondary goal (after fleecing taxpayers) is to incinerate the symbol of Free America...the eagle. These nobama-loving communist fools need justice brought to them for their many many crimes.

I don't understand where PETA is on this.
The only thing I can think of is most of these people are about as deep as a thimble. It's not intelligence or lack there of. Just the complete self absorption. I hear things come out of people's mouths that I know for a fact are intelligent. But they just can't think past Grey's Anatomy or who's going to win Dancing with the "Stars". it seems like every one only goes through life in skim mode. Very sad.
I think more people are starting to wake up to the insanity...
How apt an achievement to kill off the symbols while working on killing off the society.

I usually have to walk under and around wind turbines a few times every year. Never once have I seen a dead bird underneath. Do they eat their dead? ;)

1) I would love to know how they estimated the number of birds killed by "green" energy plants.
2) Eagles do not prey on birds. Falcons do.
Impressive technology, I am not sure why the white glow near the tower that goes away near the tower. I guess it is reflection of dust in the air.
