The House of Representatives is expected to vote today on whether to hold Lois G. Lerner, former director of the Internal Revenue Service Exempt Organizations Division, in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by the Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Lerner pleaded the Fifth at committee hearings in 2013 and earlier this year.

Today's contempt of Congress resolution is not without precedent. In 2012, the House voted to find Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for failing to turn over documents relating to the failed gun-walking operation "Fast and Furious." The resolution passed, 255-67. You can watch that debate and vote here.
In 2008, the House voted to find Bush aides, White House Counsel Harriet Myers and Chief of Staff Josh Bolten, in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over documents relating to the firing of federal prosecutors. That resolution passed 223-32. You can watch that debate here.
The House is also expected to debate a second resolution, H.Res. 565, offered by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), which calls on Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups. A vote is not expected to take place until tomorrow.

Was the vote party line or bi-party?
On one of the two votes there were 2 dems that voted with GOP, don’t know about the other vote.
These were just procedural votes, and the final vote will be tomorrow, according to the announcer.

The penalty for contempt is jail-time until the person found to be in contempt complies with the court order. Holder also refused to cooperate with the committee.
Holder’s contempt citation was bullshit, and this will be bullshit.
Why do you think the IRS is still targeting conservatives? Why are they still holding on to e-mails pertinent to finding out what really happened: `Fast and Furious’, Benghazi, the IRS, Cliven Bundy, NSA and much more.
Because Holder showed that there’s no penalty when anyone in this administration breaks the law, other than a piece of paper which he probably has framed on his wall.
