For decades liberals have lobbied against punishment and for rehabilitation. The argument was that a mugger or murderer was just a victim of his environment, someone caught in the crosshairs of bad nurturing and neighborhood. Accountability is unwarranted because the person bears no responsibility: he knew not what he did.
And so successful was this movement that our penal system was largely reorganized based on the rehabilitation model. Why, I’ve even argued with people who insisted that “punishment doesn’t work” (apparently, they’d never heard of Singapore, caning and virtually zero crime).
So, question: where are the calls for rehabilitation, as opposed to punishment, for “racists” such as Clippers owner Donald Sterling?
And the rehabilitation mentality’s absence isn’t just apparent in the social ostracism and career destruction visited on those accused of the One Liberal Deadly Sin of “racism”*.

You can point out the hypocrisy of the left all day long, and they will not be shamed by it, for the same reason they are apparently hypocrites in the first place -
every position they take on any issue is for the advancement of their agenda. So, they can be for something on one hand, stating some “principle” that they base that support on, and then completely disregard that principle on another issue, without shame or incontinuity in their minds, because both positions advance the agenda.
Want to know an incredibly effective strategy for shutting down a Liberal crying “racism?” Ask them to define “racism.”
Every argument I’ve had with a Liberal where they accused me of being racist has ended in my favor when they couldn’t so much as define the word “racism.” When I tell them that it’s the belief that one’s race is superior to another, they say I’m lying.
Disbelieving or disagree with a person of color does not make me racist, it makes me human. We are at a cultural crossroads. Our culture is trying to mash together two (or more) “tribes” of people while forcing whites to accept black behavior and social mores. In reality, we can worship, work, play, and socialize with people of all races and creeds, but in the end, it’s highly likely that we’ll be going home to a community in which a majority of the denizens are of the same color, race, etc. This does not make us racist, it’s the nature of humanity.
I disagree a bit with this writer’s thesis - liberals’ hate of racism is selective for very rational reasons. There is almost always a profit or a political motive to their “outrage”. Some cases get ignored because there’s nothing to gain in them.
I totally agree. The word “racist” is tossed about without consideration or definition; lobbed out as a label to silence genuine efforts toward defining virtue vs. vice. I encounter people of all kinds on a daily basis, also from various ethnic backgrounds. Most of them are reasonably kind. They rarely, if ever, cross the center line. The ones who do need to be in jail.

Rehabilitation requires that the subject of such has to want rehabilitation. there are those individuals that will not adhere to Kindness or punishment. Racism also is spurned by actions of the race. Does the farmer look to rid himself of the one fox that kills the chickens or does he choose to eradicate all foxes in the area. We have seen the loving Pit bull and the vicious Pit Bull, However the consensus is to eradicate the breed. These examples are not about any race but what other races encounter in their minds when subjected to the perils of society.

My first encounter with racism was in 1970 in Pittsburgh. I was having a party and invited everyone at work. One black girl looked me straight in the eye and said she didn’t like whites but had to work with them and was sure not going to hang out with them. I wonder now if I could have gotten her fired for racism.
You mention that liberals have no “Principle” today that they won’t sacrifice tomorrow to advance the next cause.
I liken that to the gold fish. Scientists have shown that a gold fish’s memory is essentially wiped & overwritten every few minutes. Every circuit around the fish bowl is a new day.

Racism is a product of genetics therefore can't be changed. If you are born a white devil you will always be a white devil. The only out is to become a Homosexual.
