Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on Thursday morning said he supports an increase in the minimum wage, breaking with many Republicans who have stood against it.
I, for instance, as you know, part company with many of the conservatives in my party on the issue of the minimum wage. I think we ought to raise it, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee said. Because frankly, our party is all about more jobs and better pay.
Romneys comments come after Senate Republicans rejected a vote on a Senate bill that would have increased the minimum wage to $10.10. Recently, though, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, both of whom also ran for the Republican nomination in 2012, said they supported some increase in the minimum wage.
In a wide-ranging interview Thursday on Morning Joe, Romney again reiterated that he isnt running for president, mentioned some of his favorite potential GOP presidential candidates in 2016 and criticized Hillary Clintons record as secretary of State.

The minimum wage should be raised, and the jobs have to go to qualified US citizens. Cut down on the invasion of the US and on people collecting freebies instead of paychecks at the same time. It's a win-win.
“The minimum wage should be raised”
The minimum wage SHOULD NOT be raised. It has been a stupid idea since the 30’s. It helps absolutely nobody but opportunistic politicians.

Willard’s list never includes Governor Sarah Palin, Sen Ted Cruz etc...
No Conservatives among his favs
And the Stupid Party would have right along with it.
Hey Willard,
I know you don’t care. Your people are all taken care of with massive trust funds and exec jobs waiting for them. I can’t afford an increase in minimum wage though. Maybe you don’t know this since you haven’t had to try to make ends meet, EVER, but every time min wage goes up, prices go up. The company I work for doesn’t get to bill clients a higher rate, therefore, my wage doesn’t go up.
This is why you lost Willard, because you don’t know what’s going on out here beneath the Ivory Tower.
All we need now is McCain to try another run.
I can’t wait to hear McCain sounding like a damn parrot repeating “My Friend” over and over again.
It’s okay though. People know Romney is an Etch-a-sketch.
The democrats favorite republican ???
Romney is Statist who THINKS the Constitutions
of the USA and Massachusetts are etch-a-sketch
by whatever he deems at the moment (like Pelosi and Obama).
I don’t think it’s the governments job to dictate how much an employer pays an employee, I think people have a right to agree or not to accept a job if they don’t like the offered pay.
I don’t think foreigners should be coming here and taking jobs either, I doubt many countries would tolerate it
From the article..
Willard’s list of GOP candidates..
You know some of my favorites, Romney said. Paul Ryan, of course. I love Paul, we were a great team together. But Chris Christie and Jeb Bush and Rob Portman. The list is long. Scott Walker. There are a lot of fellows and hopefully some women, as well.
He later singled out New Mexico Gov. Susana Martínez as one of the potential female candidates, praising her great potential and leadership.

That’s just it. If foreigners weren’t taking the jobs, the wages would naturally rise....supply and demand. What I’m suggesting would curtail the invasion of the US (which will cause wages to raise anyway) and take the issue away from the dems. It’s a win-win....unless a “conservative” acutally supports the invasion of the US.
Maybe ole Willard should team up with Charlie Christ...

STFU, Mitt....Go away.
But remember, he’s “SEVERELY” conservative.
He is definitely severely something, that’s for sure
