Just a few short weeks ago, IRS Commissioner John Koskninen told the committee that it would take "years" to gather of all Lerner's emails. That analysis now appears to have been flawed.
New IRS commissioner John Koskninen previously said that it could take years to provide all of Lerner’s emails to congressional investigators. But Ways and Means’ referral of criminal charges against Lerner to the Department of Justice, coupled with the House of Representatives’ holding Lerner in contempt of Congress Wednesday, has changed the tenor of the investigation into the IRS conservative targeting scandal.
“While it is good that we are finally getting these emails, it should never have taken this long. The agency is finally doing what is right and hopefully this is the last of the delays,” House Ways and Means chairman Rep. Dave Camp said in a statement.
“It is almost a year to the day since Lois Lerner ‘apologized’ for the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups, and we need to get to the bottom of this,” Camp said. “These documents are critical to an investigation that is holding the IRS accountable and ensuring the constitutional rights of these groups are never trampled on again. The Committee will thoroughly review the Lerner documents and follow them wherever they may lead.”

Because they are current government employees, and any actions seen as provably delaying, misleading or outright lies are prosecutable. They are throwing her under the bus.
Congress needs to subpoena the yearly backups for at least the last 5 years.
Just like they do when you get audited.

Yeah we’ve seen the trick before where critical emails are from a non official email account and thus hard to track down.

Yeah, sh*t got real when Lerner, a political hack but one who was also a tenured career civil servant, was held in contempt.
All the career govies now know they could be next, and that their Dem overseers can’t (or rather won’t) protect them.
I’m willing to bet that there’ll be whistleblower dumps of ant emails that aren’t turned over ... Given the aging of the Fed workforce there are a LOT of people in IRS just trying to eek out a few additional years to pad their TSP accounts. Whistleblowing is going to be a irrefusably attractive option for them.
It will probably take me years before I will send the IRS anymore money. And unfortunately that is a fact.
If the House Committee sends it findings to the AG (Holder) guess what will happen NOTHING.
They need to send it to a federal judge or is it just a show and the good old boy club stays intact.
It is known that she as well as other obammy followers used private e-mails and who knows how many she had that NO ONE will ever find.
Now that they’ve had experts edit them...
