While hyping the alleged effects on climate change, NBCs May 6 Nightly News tried to localize the impact by citing a different problem in each region. The broadcast played a clip of Burr Morse, a seventh-generation maple syrup producer from Montpelier, Vermont, stating that this seasons weather had been too warm. Contrary to this clips implications, Morse told the MRCs Business and Media Institute that cold weather actually did more to harm this years maple syrup season.
Morse complained that NBC had selected a short sample of his full remarks to support their point which was global warming. Morse said he didnt want to be the cause of any hysteria, emphasizing that he is confident in the future of the maple syrup industry and its ability to circumvent the weather with technology.
NBC White House Correspondent Peter Alexander told Nightly News that Short winters are already harming Vermont maple syrup famer Burr Morse. Then, NBC played a clip of Morse saying It didnt quite get cold enough at night.
Anybody who spent the 2013/14 winter on the East Coast should immediately have become suspicious as the winter remained cold through March, incidentally when the maple syrup harvest typically begins.
In fact, Morse claimed that winter hung on a month longer than it usually does. Because of this lingering cold, Morse started tapping his maple trees in April instead of March. By April, however, the nights were slightly too warm for the ideal 20 degree temperature, hence the actual context for NBCs excerpt.
Rather than suffering from the heat, Morse described this seasons primary hardship as cold, saying a big part of the season was that it was too cold.
Morse expressed distaste for the way NBC handled his remarks

Big Business is fully behind pushing climate change. How much longer will it be legal not to believe in it?
That report was a “Cheap Trick”
“Green Police”
The Green police, they live inside of my head
The Green police, they come to me in my bed
The Green police, they’re coming to arrest me, oh, no
You know that talk is cheap
And those rumors ain’t nice
And when I fall asleep
I don’t think I’ll survive the night, the night
‘Cause they’re waiting for me
They’re looking for me
Every single night
They’re driving me insane
Those men inside my brain
The Green police, they live inside of my head (live inside of my head)
The Green police, they come to me in my bed (come to me in my bed)
The Green police, they’re coming to arrest me, oh, no
Well, I can’t tell lies
‘Cause they’re listening to me
And when I fall asleep
Bet they’re spying on me tonight, tonight
‘Cause they’re waiting for me
They’re looking for me
Every single night
They’re driving me insane
Those men inside my brain
I try to sleep, they’re wide awake, they won’t let me alone
They don’t get paid to take vacations or let me alone
They spy on me, I try to hide, they won’t let me alone
They persecute me, they’re the judge and jury all in one
‘Cause they’re waiting for me
They’re looking for me
Every single night
They’re driving me insane
Those men inside my brain
The Green police, they live inside of my head (live inside of my head)
The Green police, they come to me in my bed (come to me in my bed)
The Green police, they’re coming to arrest me
The Green police (police, police)
The Green police (police, police)
The Green police (police, police)
The Green police (police, police)
The Green police (police, police)

If Mother Nature got a good lawyer she could sue NBC for libel.
It's even harder to believe that ANYONE gets ANY news information from NBC. You would get better information asking the homeless guy on the exit ramp from the freeway near my house for an eye witness account of anything anywhere in the world.
What did he expect?
When you talk to the MSM, you have to realize, you are talking to the enemy. Best to not talk at all.
Um.. no, not really.
I have been to the Morse farm and purchased their product.
It doesn’t matter if if is too warm or too cold...it is now called climate change, see? No matter what the earth is doing, it’s our fault.

Global Warming on Free Republic
No. The newest term is CLIMATE DISRUPTION.
Now every single local weather event can be attributed to human activity.
It would be easier - and just as dishonest - if NBC hired actors to pretend they’re regular citizen.
I’ve been to paradise, but I’ve never been to me
