Jack in the Box Caves to Gun Control Pressure, Restricts Open Carry

Jack in the Box, a popular fast-food restaurant chain, has followed Starbucks' unfortunate lead in limiting its customers' Second Amendment rights. Friday, the company announced it would start enforcing its no-firearms-in-stores policy. Jack in the Box’s Vice President of Corporate Communications Brian Luscomb released this statement:

“The presence of guns inside a restaurant could create an uncomfortable situation for our guests and employees and lead to unintended consequences.”

The company's decision comes a day after gun control group Moms Demand Action launched a petition to pressure the restaurant to enforce the policy. They started the campaign in response to a semi-automatic rifle demonstration inside a Texas-based Jack in the Box restaurant last week that terrified customers so much they locked themselves in the store's freezer, according to police.

Moms Demand Action has a history of making false accusations against gun rights activists in order to push their political agenda -- and then refusing to apologize for it. Here's a video of founder Shannon Watts literally running away from conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch.

With this latest political stunt, Moms Demand Action has proven they're not quite done with stripping Americans' of their Second Amendment rights. The group patted themselves on the back for Jack in the Box's decision with this statement on their Facebook page:

YOU DID IT, MOMS! We’ve proven again and again that when moms speak up, American businesses listen. Like Starbucks, Facebook and Instagram, Jack in the Box has answered our call to put public safety first.

Of course, it wouldn't be proper gun control activism without a picture of a young girl eating a hamburger. They need to invoke the 'it's all about the children' card somehow:

“Uncomfortable” in the workplace?

Tell that to the guy that does not concern himself with “comfort”, only with intent of holding up the place and splattering a few bodies in the process during departure.

Just put up a sign that says “Target Practice inside, catering to the non-conformist”.

Because I do not want to be robbed at gunpoint by minority male youth, and because the food there is crap, I will never eat at that place.

If they want to discourage paying customers who can pass a criminal background check — good for them! (But the end result is to the benefit of 2A supporters and their children — and particularly to the benefit of their arteries.)

"In 1993, 623 people in the western U.S. fell ill with a little-known bacteria called E. coli O157:H7. Ultimately, four children would die from their infections; many others suffered long-term medical complications.

The bug was later traced to undercooked hamburger served at Jack in the Box restaurants.

Another good reason not to go there.

Jack in the Box, at the least the ones in my area, have always been a drive-thru only option for me.

Not because they don’t have seating inside, but because they are mostly in areas that I would rather not leave my car, given the choice.

And of course the radical left are so supportive of fast food restaurants — the meat, poultry, & fish products they serve, the french fries & shakes, the size of the soda drinks, the wages they pay the employees, the religious & moral beliefs the owners espouse.

They have Jack-in-the-Crack’s guns; now to go after the menu, their workers, and ultimately to shut them down.

A little know fact is that Jack’s last name is not Box. It is Cass.

Even if you have never eaten in a Jack in the Box, make it a point to enter, complement them on their menu, then tell them you would like to eat there, but are uncomfortable with their anti-gun policy, so you are instead going to eat at a different “restaurant”, “one that appreciates the civil rights of its customers.”

You can bet your bottom dollar that their managers will report these “peculiar incidents” up the chain, and it will rattle some chains.

Be sure to use the phrase “civil rights”, because it will evoke memories of denying service based on race, which should make them twitch more than not.

If just a dozen of their stores around the country get such reports, it will get their attention.

Mom’s Demand Action—creating new “Luby’s Cafeteria” situations across the nation. Know this, mom’s—when you enter a Jack-in-the-Box, you may want to pray that it isn’t the day when a bad egg comes to that restaurant. You may want to read about what happened at Luby’s many years ago—it might steer you toward a safer restaurant.
