The link between domestic sex trafficking and racial discrimination while undeniable, is not immediately clear. What is clear; however, is that the demography of domestic sex trafficking is very different from the racial make up of the United States. In a recent report by the Office of Victims of Crime, of the confirmed sex trafficking victims, 40.4 percent of victims were African-American. Does a day go by that there aren’t murders and kidnappings in numerous countries around the world. Should the U.S. government get involved as policeman of the world. This is insane.
Where is the article?
I found it at the third link.
I would be happy for the Obamas to spend all their time on this problem, which actually matters, and leave us alone otherwise.
I read the article, and tried to use the site’s search function to look for info on racial breakdown of WHO IS DOING THE TRAFFICKING, and WHO ARE THE CUSTOMERS. Such data might help explain the racial imbalance of victims that has them so mystified, and help target solutions. There was nothing whatsoever about the perps. The facts must not be PC enough.
Pretty much the first thing that crossed my mind.
I suspect that, like murder and most other crimes, trafficking is largely intra-racial.
Suspect that customers are too. I doubt there is a huge demand for black prostitutes among white guys.
The mystification they claim has got to be feigned.
These guys prey on vulnerable women, and a higher percentage of black women and girls are vulnerable.
There was a recent movie, Taken, where the traffickers kidnap random girls off the streets of Paris, one of whom of course turns out to be a HUGE mistake.
Traffickers don’t do this. They prey on runaways, drug addicts and others nobody will miss. Last thing they need is a powerful daddy forcing the cops to rattle the bushes. Bad for business.
Internationally slavery has never been a racial issue. Now or throughout history.
