California design of (special) driver's license for (illegal aliens) immigrants rejected (by Feds)

Federal authorities have rejected California's proposed design for a driver's license for immigrants in the U.S. illegally, saying it is not distinguishable enough for security purposes from permits given to citizens.

The Washington officials want the license to state clearly on its face "that it is not acceptable for official federal purposes" and to have a design or color that differentiates it at a glance from other licenses.

The current design does not differ from other California licenses except for a subtle mark on the front and a disclaimer on the back in small print: "This card is not acceptable for official federal purposes."

Officials said Tuesday that the decision by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security could delay distribution of the first licenses because immigrant-rights activists have vowed to fight proposals that would make them look significantly different from other licenses.

The activists consider conspicuous markings to be a kind of scarlet letter. They and others say such marks could lead to mistreatment.

"Covering the fronts of licenses with this information that Homeland Security is demanding would subject the holders to unnecessary discrimination and possible harassment," said state Sen. Kevin De Leon (D-Los Angeles).

A big red 'I' on the forehead should be good enough to indicate the holder is an illegal.

THE TAKEAWAY LINE>>>>>

"Covering the fronts of licenses with this information that Homeland Security is demanding would subject the holders to unnecessary discrimination and possible harassment," said state Sen. Kevin De Leon (D-Los Angeles).

Meaning they don't want to comply with Obama regime regulations. Must be pretty bad if the Obama regime kicked it back!!!

Since legal residents have to comply with federal rules for real ID documentation, allowing illegal aliens to bypass the requirements opens up a massive security loophole.

Doosh, I mean Dood!

Do you know what would happen to the SoCal economy if all of the illegals would be suddenly deported? It would tank. It would bring down the entire national economy with it.

Time to cinch our belts. (Not that they’ll ever be deported).

How I wish that ‘Fitzpatrick’s War’ would come true.

What’s going to happen to the economy if they get their amnesty?

The economy will tank if 55 million illegals swarm out government offices looking for food stamps, housing, medical care, schooling, college scholarships, social security, etc!

Try going down to Mexico and getting a driver's license. I know, I know it's for all the California free benefits and voting.

Bwahahahahahahahaha! I guess the ID must have not had a statement running across it in red saying “arrest me, seize my assets and deport me immediately”.

“...the entire national economy...”

I don’t think so. CA has an overinflated ego when it comes to its influence on the US overall. CA ain’t all that.

Most of the country survives without wet back labor, I wonder how they do it?

I think you’re wboth wrong as the CA economy is such a large part of the whole.

Now, having said that, as far as I’m concerned, every last person who is here illegally, or was brought here illegally as a child, should be rounded up and deported.

We’ll make do without them.

Oh, I forgot. Anchor babies? They leave with their parents and then can come back when they’re 18 if they so desire.

(I prefer a ‘Fitzpatrick’s War’ future for the country.)

All of the so called right wing extremists warned of this day ten years ago and now we have to play “ Fix it with a patch.” What a joke this country is becoming. Let’s just declare... No rules, No laws, No punishment for all.

I’ve posted the same thought on anchor kids for several years. I almost scream out loud when I hear the amnesty pushers moan about ‘tearing families apart’ if someone is deported.

Minor kids are the responsibility of their parents.

‘Minor kids are the responsibility of their parents.’

Thanks. I’ll use your point in the future.
