5.8.14: World Championship Squirrel Cook Off - This Week on Gun Talk Radio

Mandeville, LA – It’s the biggest squirrel cooking contest, new long range ammunition, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Squirrels Unlimited is the “largest squirrel hunting organization in America”, according to President Joe Wilson. With more than 1500 members, it’s no wonder that last year’s World Championship Squirrel Cook Off, hosted by Wilson and Squirrels Unlimited, had more than 7,000 attendees. Wilson stops by with all the details for the 2014 Cook Off, being held in Bentonville, AR, on September 13th. Learn more at http://www.squirrelcookoff.com/.

Also dropping by to talk about the newest products, including long range ammo and new calibers, is DoubleTap Ammunition’s Mike McNett. Find out more at http://www.doubletapammo.net/.

And don’t forget to enter to win the Smith & Wesson “Handgun Hunter” Gun Talk Giveaway. One Grand Prize winner will receive a Performance Center .44 Magnum Revolver from Smith & Wesson. Enter to win through May 30th at http://www.guntalk.com/win.

Currently listening to podcats of part C from last week. Then will start on last week’s after hours show and then today’s part A. Last week’s part C had a good segment with Jews for the Protection of Firearms Ownership.

I often take my shottie for birds and a handgun for the squirrel. I hunt way up in the mountains where both are plentiful.

My Dog don’t know what to make of squirrels.
He is a natural bird killer/retriever and a fishing dog, but those squirrels just flummox him with their antics,
