A viral social media campaign calling for the schoolgirls' return has seen public figures such as US first lady Michelle Obama tweeting with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls. On Sunday, French president Francois Hollande called on African leaders to hold a summit in Paris on security in west Africa.

The West tweets and offers thug-leaders free weekends in Paris. Then wonders why "the violence continues."

Probably not, since Mr. Will describes himself as "an amiable, low voltage atheist." (As he continued, in a recent interview: "I deeply respect religions and religious people. The great religions reflect something constant and noble in the human character, defensible and admirable yearnings. I am just not persuaded. That’s all."

Expanding on the comment, radical Muslims are the true followers of Islam. They consider moderate Muslims apostates, as deserving of death or enslavement as any Infidel.

Maybe it is those who think it is their right to take God’s place and play god over their fellow human beings that has turned George Will off to a belief in God. Humans have through the ages given their religion a bad reputation. It was the actions of the Scribes and Pharisees that turned Jesus off. These Boko Haram fools are not giving their religion a good reputation. Perhaps they would be better off taking a walk down the Santa Monica Pier and catching the Mother Ship. There are many like me who say they can save the walk, and put on their Nike tennis shoes, black sweat pants and t-shirts with patches that say, “Heaven’s Gate Away Team,” put $5.75 in their pockets and drink the Kool Aid.

No, it’s not a joke, for I suspect that negotiating with parents and paying a bride price is party of Islamic law. This is theft pure and simple.

You may very well be correct about this matter.

In any case, I make a very large distinction between the benign atheism of some and the strident anti-theism of others (who, as Mr. Will sardonically noted on one occasion, detest the "provocative" term, "Christmas tree," to describe the generic holiday tree.)
