Obama Attacks ‘Climate Deniers’ For Wasting Time Debating ‘Fact’
The Daily Caller ^ | May 9, 2014 | Michael Bastasch

Posted on 05/12/2014 12:20:57 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

President Obama took time in his Friday speech at a California Wal-Mart to bash “climate deniers” for obstructing him by debating the science behind man-made global warming.

“So unfortunately, inside of Washington we’ve still got some climate deniers who shout loud, but they’re wasting everybody’s time on a settled debate,” Obama said, doubling down on remarks made during his State of the Union Address this year by adding that, “Climate change is a fact.”

“Here in California, you’ve seen these effects firsthand,” Obama told the audience at a Mountain View Wal-Mart. “You know what’s happening. And increasingly, more and more Americans do — including, by the way, many Republicans outside of Washington.”

Obama’s speech to announce more executive orders to promote solar energy development and energy efficiency subsidies comes just days after the White House released the third National Climate Assessment (NCA).

The NCA claimed that global warming was already happening and had caused the U.S. to warm about 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit since 1895. The report also claimed that temperatures could increase another 4 degrees Fahrenheit and sea levels could rise 4 feet in the coming decades if no action is taken.

“Hundreds of scientists, experts and businesses, not-for-profits, local communities all contributed over the course of four years,” Obama said. “What they found was unequivocally that climate change is not some far-off problem in the future. It’s happening now. It’s causing hardship now.”(continued)

The Earth and solar system have been around for millions and millions of years, but they’re basing “global cooling, global warming, climate change” (in that order) on just a few hundred years of data. And Zero says the debate is over?

Obama wouldn’t know a fact if someone slipped it into his teleprompter. Needless to say, that will never happen, because the teleprompter would break down.

This is the fundamental flaw in the whole story.

However, I will suggest this. The heat-sink idea....where urban areas, concrete and asphalt, along with massive deforestation in large segments of the world....is likely one of the true issues of existence.

It is a proven fact that after the Panama Canal was completed....weather in the region did change to a fair degree. Statistics over decades has show it’s effect regionally. I think if the environmentalists did their homework and used models right...the heat-sink issue would be the one true issue that is of value, and we could force urban areas to throw up more trees and offer less concrete. But it’s not really a problem which draws redistribution of wealth....which is the fundamental magnet for every single global warming issue.

Can’t really blame Obama for this misinformation campaign. It’s being led by a huge number of scientists themselves. This extremely unscientific pronouncement — that the issue is settled when in fact the data is all very raw and very new and the conclusions are based only on computer modeling and nothing more — is coming from the scientific establishment itself.

You can’t blame goat-brained politicians like obama for believing what they are told by the “experts”.

"Obama stressed that storms, floods and droughts — like the one California is currently experiencing — have been made more severe by rising global temperatures, a talking point the administration has been pushing hard in the last year."

What connection could there possibly between the truth and anything that comrade obama ever says?

Well said - I am also not so surprised that it is the western world who has to pay as they want to even out the wealth. The annual Indonesian burn off for Palm Oil plantations puts the equivalent CO2 into the air as much as 93 million cars. China’s every increasing coal fire power plants are putting more pollutants into the air than any other country but it is the western countries, who are already becoming more efficient in the production of power and low emission vehicles, who have to pay. Absolute BS!

Yep anything to get off Benghazi.
He is trying to out slick, slick who got away with a whole bunch thanks to the LSM.

One thing most never consider. Thermometers over 100 years ago were not very accurate compared to today's versions, yet they compare temps.

Not to worry, the Narcissist in Chief is leading where it counts by pointing out that "climate deniers" are wasting everyones time by debating the "fact" of Global Warming. /sarc

Don't you just love having a guy for President who can see the big, important, picture rather than getting hung up in the sort of silly little things Gates is talking about?

“Climate change is a fact.”

Duh, no one is denying that, Bammy, we're just saying that humans are not the ones causing most of the change.

How come he never mentions the FACT that 95% of all CO2 comes from volcanoes? Humans only make 5%?

Sounds like Barack Obama is auditioning for lead forecaster on the Democrat owned Hegalian Weather Channel.

From http://archive.gao.gov/f0902a/110752.pdf

...The Office of Management and Budget
agreed that some consolidation of weather
modification research was desirable, but
it did not conclude that a lead agency
approach was preferable. It pointed out
that each weather modification research
project is different and that, in recognition
of this, it had instructed specific
agencies to concentrate their efforts on
certain areas.

For example, the Department of the Interior would concentrate on precipitation enhancement and the
Department of Commerce on severe storms.

Nevertheless, Commerce has been receiving funds, with the Office of Management and Budget’s approval, to do research in rainfall augmentation. (See p. 6.)

In a June 30, 1978, report to the Secretary
of Commerce, the Weather Modification Advisory Board concluded that the outstanding characteristic of the Federal
Government’s weather modification organization is that no one is in charge and the results of fragmentation are clearly unsatisfactory.

The board proposed a congressional statement of national weather modification policy, a 20-year research and development effort with a clear focus on learning more about how to modify weather predictably and prudently, and an integrated program bringing together the scattered elements of the existing ineffective effort. (See p. 7.)

RECOMMENDATIONS

GAO reaffirms its 1974 recommendations calling for a national weather modification program and plan, and it supports the Weather Modification Advisory Board’s
recommendations to establish a national policy and develop an integrated research and development program for
weather modification.

The Congress should set forth a national weather modification research and development policy and direct that a program be developed with goals, objectives,
priorities, and milestones. Also, it should designate one agency to administer, maintain, and control the program.
Until the Congress establishes such a policy and program, the Secretaries of Commerce and the Interior should establish an integrated, formal planning program to help ensure coordination of their respective rainfall augmentation projects...

Something else that might make you go hmmmmmmm is weather has been a tradable commodity since 1997 when the first OTC trade was made. Two years later the Chicago Mercantile Exchange got in the game and this October 14, 2010 investopedia.com article reports it’s been gangbusters ever since.

According to the investopedia website:

“…Broadly speaking, CME weather futures and options on futures are exchange-traded derivatives that – by means of specific indexes – reflect monthly and seasonal average temperatures of 15 U.S. and five European cities…”

“…Current users of weather futures are primarily energy companies in energy-related businesses. However, there is growing awareness and signs of potential growth in the trading of weather futures among agricultural firms, restaurants and companies involved in tourism and travel…”

Oh’ my horse ass....

Any reasonable person looking at the “evidence” like imperical data and observable facts can easliy conclude this hoax is at best tenuous....certainty not worthy of life altering mandated change....

Obama is using fear mongering for political purposes....

Facts to him are simply an inconvenience....

Obama is the destroyer, the bringer of death. He has a home in Indian mythology. He would have fit well in the Thuggee cult.
