I guess global warming is just for the summers. Seems if the weather is extreme in one hemisphere, it’s extreme in the other also. We could probably call it global cooling, just depends on where and when you are.

Here in Virginia, we actually had to turn on the heat at the beginning of the month. We've never done that before, ever.

Yep, they’re forecasting 88 today....it will probably break 90.

I’m already looking forward to fall. A little global cooling would suit me just fine.

The Atlantic Ocean is still ice cold up here in the Northeast. We had our first 70 degree day yesterday but only because the wind was coming from inland. As soon as the wind comes back off the ocean, we will be immediately plunged back into the 40s.

And Lake Nipigon (Certainly not a “small” lake) in the photo appears totally ice-bound.

In northern El Paso County, Colorado this morning (not IN the mountains), some drivers were using chains.
