Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling says he's sorry but feels he was "baited" to make racist comments, nearly two weeks after the NBA fined him and banned him for life for his remarks in a recorded conversation.
"When I listen to that tape, I don't even know how I can say words like that. ... I don't know why the girl had me say those things," he told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview set to air on Monday.
"You're saying you were set up?" Cooper asked.
"Well yes, I was baited," Sterling said. "I mean, that's not the way I talk. I don't talk about people for one thing, ever. I talk about ideas and other things. I don't talk about people."

I agree he was baited, but he certainly didn’t have to “bite”. The thing I find really disgusting is that they want his wife to sell too. She didn’t do a thing but marry the cad. And I say cad because he was cheating against her. He is not exactly the most sympathetic guy.
My question is that if it was such a well known “fact” that Sterling was such a horrible racist, why did all those black players even consider playing for him?

There was an irony on the news this morning.
The first story mentioned a fatal random shots fired at some “DJ” event, and we know that means “rap culture”.
The following story was on Sterling being “disgraced” for saying, IIRC, that his mistress “shouldn’t hang out with black people”.

I saw the headline and thought this was an article about the show “Mad Men”.
