UKIP Set For Comfortable Win In Euro Elections
Sky News ^

Posted on 05/12/2014 2:34:28 PM PDT by UKrepublican

UKIP is on course for a massive political upset with victory in the European elections in its sights, according to an exclusive Sky News/YouGov poll.

The poll confirms that in recent weeks Nigel Farage's party has leaped ahead of Labour, with the Conservatives in third place and the Liberal Democrats lagging well behind.

The poll, which was carried out last week, shows UKIP on 31%, while Labour has slipped back to its lowest YouGov showing in weeks on 25%.

With both the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats reasonably steady in the polls (the Sky News result shows Tories on 23%, Lib Dems 9%), the story of Labour voters switching to UKIP will alarm Ed Miliband and his advisers.

The poll also shows that UKIP is capitalising on a lack of trust in the Westminster parties among the electorate.

The European Union will tank economically fairly soon.
I expect that when the Muslims act up and the general populace figures things out Europe will party like its 1789.

It won’t take long for our MSM to declare the UKIP dead like they did the tea party here.

Thats right. The Brits just need to take over one of the established parties there. Or they love Obama. Or something.

Third parties have always worked in a parliamentary system. They don’t work in the American system.

Your congress isn’t all that dissimilar to our Parliament although I certainly accept it would be far far tougher due in part to the financials involved in your campaigns.

This can’t be. Third parties don’t work.

The European parlimentary system works on temporary marriages of parties. Look for the first place and third place winners beat up the second place party.

We could easily overturn the policy making structure of the GOP if people would pull their heads out of their butts and do it.

We could rout the Republican national committee if a couple thousand people in each state went to the state conventions and voted for good committee members.

Because there is always some naysayer helping the establishment and working diligently to make sure they don’t.

Of course people could just avoid parties altogether like the founders designed the system for in the first place and elect principled leaders.

This is exciting news, and very important, I think. With the ‘60s and ‘70s “activist” generation lapsing into retirement, the kids of the Reagan-Thatcher era, like Farage, are assuming positions of power, and appear to have a sizeable mandate to return the Western World to some semblance of sanity.

The two parties that we have - The liberal party and the not quite as liberal party - have very carefully crafted ways to make a credible third party almost impossible to create.

The last credible chance was H. Ross Perot and his party. Had he been more photogenic, had he picked a younger (if not as heroic) running mate...who knows. Virtually every single thing Perot warned of has come true.
