Rob Gray and his brother-in-law said they were walking down River Street enjoying the sites with their families when they were confronted by a man. Then, a mob attacked them.
“I took a punch to my eye and cracked my orbital,” said Gray.
“I was grabbed by the back of my head at a full run and he smashed my head into the car and I hit the ground,” said Jim Thomas. "This was a violent, malicious attack on a family of eight people."
Thomas says the attackers went after his wife as well.
"There was a man holding her by the nape of her neck, with her hair and dragging her," said Thomas.
And even his daughter was attacked.
"My 6-year-old daughter was punched in the stomach by an adult," he said.
The men say they didn’t see an officer for more than 20 minutes after the attack.

This happened in Savannah, on the big tourist street. Apparently the family was walking along when a black couple pushed their way through them and shoved one of the family’s children. The father of the family said something like, hey, don’t shove a kid, and the couple attacked them, and then were apparently joined by some other people who were with them.
Not going to be good for the Savannah tourist biz, which is why it’s very hard to find reports about it.
Blacks run amok. Obama and the Lefties have emboldened the bad guys IMO, especially black gangs.
It happened in the Atlanta, GA area and GA is a shall issue state. Shall issue works best when people carry.
Unless I misread, this was in Jacksonville. Hardly a bastion of anti-gun nuts.

When such a situation arises one is well advised to have ones’ hand on ones’ gun and to be scanning behind as well as in front - there were two adult males and neither seems to have been armed nor were they working together to deal with the well known threat of Urban Feral predation.

According to the police report, Thomas told officers they left one of the restaurants, when all of a sudden a black man and woman forcefully walked through his entire family, bumping into him and the small children.
Thomas confronted the two. The report says the man stopped, turned around, charged at him and assaulted him. The report also says Thomas told police several more people came from behind and attacked his family, “It turned into a riot, “says Anokw.

SAVANNAH, GA - Police in Savannah are investigating an Atlanta family’s claims that they were attacked by a group of people on River Street in downtown Savannah Saturday night. The family claims when they said something to a man and woman who walked into them, they were then attacked by several individuals in front of their kids.In an interview with Atlanta TV station WSB, the victims claimed that they were attacked by a “mob” of people and that even women and children were attacked, including a 6-year old girl who was punched in the stomach. “This was a violent, malicious attack on a family of eight people,” one of the victims told the station. One of the men had an obvious black eye in a picture posted on WSB's website.
The fight reportedly occurred in front of Wet Willies on River Street. The reporting officer said the victim "advised that he and his family were walking when a black couple forced their way through his family. He then noted that when they said something to them about it; little words were exchanged and the black male started attacking them. Several more black people joined the assault from the opposite direction. The victim advised he was held down and punched in the eye." The officer also noted that he smelled an odor of alcohol on both family members he interviewed and that when one appeared to be getting upset again about the incident he refrained from interviewing him further.
The family also claims that police were slow to respond. SCMPD told WSAV that they are looking at Surveillance video from the area in hopes of learning more about what actually happened.
