Among registered voters in Kentucky including undecided voters who are leaning toward a candidate, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell receives 46% to 45% for Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes. One percent supports someone else, and 8% are undecided.

Key points:
*Party ID. More than eight in ten Republicans — 83% — support McConnell while 75% of Democrats back Grimes. A notable 19% of Democrats are for McConnell compared with only 9% of Republicans who support Grimes. McConnell edges Grimes, 46% to 41%, among independent voters.
Gender. There is a gender gap. 51% of men support McConnell while 40% are for Grimes. Among women voters, 49% are for Grimes compared with 42% for McConnell.
Against Republican businessman Matt Bevin, Grimes has the support of 46% of registered voters in the state including those who are undecided yet leaning toward a candidate compared with 37% for Bevin. One percent is for another candidate, and 15% are undecided.
Low Favorability and Approval Ratings for McConnell…Grimes Unknown to Many
45% of Kentucky adults have an unfavorable opinion of Mitch McConnell. 39% have a favorable impression of him while 13% are unsure how to rate him. Among registered voters, 46% have a negative opinion of McConnell. 42% have a positive one, and 11% are unsure how to rate him.
When it comes to McConnell’s job performance, 45% of Kentucky residents disapprove of how he is currently doing in the United States Senate. 39% approve, and 16% are unsure. Among registered voters in the state, 46% give McConnell low marks. 41% are pleased with his performance, and 13% are unsure.
Looking at Grimes, 36% of Kentucky residents have a positive impression of her and 23% have a negative one. 14% have never heard of Grimes, and 27% are unsure how to rate her. Among registered voters, 39% have a favorable opinion of Grimes while 24% have an unfavorable one. One in ten — 10% — has never heard of her, and 27% are unsure how to rate Grimes.

Nope. It would be one less vote for Cruz’s battle against the left. Say whatever you want about the RINO’s, but we keep forgetting that with. Republican controlled senate, the Conservatives get to submit bills which the RINO’s will have to call a vote on.
With a rat controlled senate, the republican voice goes unheard.

McConnell is a steaming pile of turtle crap, but the poll internals are way off (intentionally skewed by the liberal pollsters:

I see the current GOPe and Democrats as the same party that is just playing “good cop, bad cop” with us. Keeping McConnel gives us NOTHING, even if the R’s have a majority.
That was proven in spades when W was president and the R’s controlled both sides of the house. It is when I stopped being a republican. It’s one of those “fool me once...” types of things.
Look, don’t write off Bevin. McConnel is spending $Millions on advertisement and is a demonic, sleazy bastard; his commercials are unbelievable lies, no just lies but breathtaking lies. He now in this homestretch before the 20th primary is accusing Bevin of favoring cockfighting...you heard me right.
Bevin is the real deal, real conservative, small business owner. EVERYthing McConnnel and his demon soldiers have said about Bevin is a lie. I live in Cincy and can’t vote but hear all the commercials and interviews on 550am morning radio.
Remember that over the course of the last several months, as polls were showing Bevins doing better against Grimes, even winning against her, the argument was that he was the more electable candidate and deserving of a vote over McConnell.
Now that polls show him doing worse ... ?
What’s happened is that the McConnell campaign has systematically cut Bevins legs off. It’s a campaign, and what happens in a campaign.
Now McConnell will turn and do the same thing against Grimes. I don’t like McConnell, but I really don’t like Grimes. Particularly that she’s portraying herself as an über-Conservative independent who we all know won’t waste a minute strapping on the knee pads for Dingy Harry once elected. McConnell may be a snake, but a snake is still better than a rat.

That is terrible for anyone in party leadership. I’d wager that if he successfully beats Bevin (The American People), then his seat is at risk to go D.

I’m looking long term. Of course, I also have property with LOTS of wood, large garden, plenty of chickens and room for plenty of cattle to graze if it comes to that. And I believe it probably will if we are left with Dems or GOPe.
It’s why I bought this place two weeks before the 2008 election, and I thought McCain would win. ;-)

I agree. I don’t subscribe to the general idea of electing Dems instead of RINOS to “teach them a lesson”, but I make an exception in the case of McConnell, because he is SUCH a scumbag. I hope we can pick up enough seats to take the Senate without him winning, but I would gladly take 50-50 without McConnell than 51-49 with him.
What is the GOP gonna do in a 51-49 Senate with Barry in charge anyway? You think they’ll finally fight for spending cuts or refuse to raise the debt ceiling? No way; they’ll tell us this is “all we can do” right now but we’ll “really fight hard” when we have the presidency in 2017.

That may be but voters are going with experience this year and most likely in 2016. After the on the job training President, voters are not risking newbies. That is a fact that I have studied with these primaries. So far I am pretty much right on.
I prefer neither. I’m sure as hell am not voting for the douche bag McConnell after he made it clear he intended to punch tea party conservatives in the face. He can take two running leaps and jump straight into hell!
The only way McConnell wins is if he gets enough democrat cross over votes from the eastern coal counties. Otherwise he gets stomped in the general election. Lots of conservatives I know are saying enough, you Party boys may win a squeaker without us but do you honestly think all those democrats are going to stay in your camp, if so you have over dosed on the Potomac kool-aid.
I will not vote for another liberal I don’t give a damn if they have that wonderful (R) in front of their names, not again even if it means losing the congress and the presidency. Now all you it’s all about the Party boys, go try and win more than one election without a chunk of your base and see how you fair I want to see you out liberal a liberal.
