The United States should send in special forces to rescue the hundreds of girls kidnapped by Boko Haram—whether the Nigerian government gives permission or not, according to Sen. John McCain.
“If they knew where they were, I certainly would send in U.S. troops to rescue them, in a New York minute I would, without permission of the host country,” McCain told The Daily Beast Tuesday. “I wouldn’t be waiting for some kind of permission from some guy named Goodluck Jonathan,” he added, referring to the president of Nigeria.

Obama won’t do anything to help the girls and stop the muslim terrorists.
He says it is just a matter of educationg the muslims.

I am tired of American forces dying for everyone else. Obama uses these guys and not long after, the special forces have all kinds of mysterious accidents.
Obama isn’t president CIC quality, so people should quit wanting him to use troops.
If such a rescue were part of a systematic effort to rid the world of Islam, I’d be all for it.

Though we most often agree, Nope. Not this time. If you (9the general you) want America to be ruler of the world, then sending our SF makes sense. Lets be the Empire everyone says we are and stop denying it. Give the Military Worldcop badges and declare ourselves Kings.
I very much think those girls should have been rescued Day 1. By the country they are in. But we supplied and protected the people who kidnapped them. Until we get our collective sXit together and figure out if we are America under a Constitution or Rulers of the Earth, we damn well need to stay the hell out of other countries.
Not every atrocity on earth demands a US military intervention. Maybe then the rest of the planet would take care and sort its own crap out.

When did the rescue of these couple hundred unfortunate young girls become a moral imperative requiring armed invasion of yet another country, a more or less friendly one this time, when we calmly stood by and watched something like 10M people murdered in civil wars in Central Africa?
Actually, of course, we didn’t watch. We ignored the slaughter.
Gosh had McCain become President, we would be at war with practically every country. Our military would be HUGE with close to 5 million most likely.

You know what, this is exactly the type of situation he would involve himself in. Why it’s for the children. Can you think of a more appealing way for him to show he cares for children, cares for Christians, and is a super-hero?
I understand why you say what you do, but I don’t know. This looks to be irresistible to me.
The problem, John, is that we do not have a stated interest in the form of policy associated with those kidnapped girls. Under what pretense would we involve the US Military in an effort to “rescue” someone?
There is no foreign policy and our military has no leadership. We are completely helpless at the moment.
It sure is a good thing that McCain didn’t win when he ran for President.
