A group of self-described revolutionary-style patriots with a million mobilized militia members are heading to downtown Washington, D.C., this week to bring a simple message to political leadership, from President Obama to House Speaker John Boehner: Get out.
Theyre called the Operation American Spring and theyre vowing to oust the likes of Mr. Obama, Mr. Boehner, Attorney General Eric Holder, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sen. Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Raw Story reported.

I hope Ted Cruz, Michele Bachmann, Mike Lee and Sarah Palin show up. That would give it some gravitas.
For those that go, maybe they can start a live thread. I think Laz said he was going.
Obama is just waiting to pull a Hitler on the country
Why anyone would want to emulate the disastrous arab spring is beyond me.
This is America. We’re not a bunch of Arab Muslims. If this picks up steam. I’m there.
A whole lot of good that will do. Just don’t bring your guns.
I’ll oust Obama in 2016. It will be better.
my thought as well .
O has not been waiting for anything. He has been ‘Pulling Hitlers’ or orchestrating acts of betrayal on this country long before he was even inaugerated. One day, we may have Eric Snowden’s Son inform the world that the United States was under an atmospheric experiment by the CIA starting in 2007. about 60% of the population were affected, some permanently disabled in their thinking skills. I am only half joking.
And get what? Jeb Bush. Have you been paying attention?
I’d love to go—but can’t make it this time. It’s a lot of driving for me, and I no longer “do” planes.
I hope it’s a large turnout though—and that your message is heard loud and clear.
It’s keyboard talk.
As far as I'm concerned, that's what the tea Party is: a permanent Operation American Spring. But we need to do more than just try to elect "good" politicians (some would say that is an oxymoron).
We need to do as Milton Friedman suggested:
Do what you can to elect the right people, but focus the major attention to make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.
You do that by cutting government until it's back to 3-5% of our GDP, KEEPING it small, and throwing the bums out who don't keep it small.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.
Harry Riley, Terry Trussell, et al:
I may be out of touch but they haven’t seemed to reach out to many TEA Party types or interested parties. It may have been a semi-secret militia event following up on the Bundy Ranch protest. If that is the case, there is little hope for something similar to what I’ve suggested on this forum. In fact, it could set us back a long ways. It takes publicity, organization and nonviolence on the part of the protestors. At this point let the oppressors shoot first.
This is America...If this picks up steam. Im there.
I don’t see this event picking up any steam. America is simply too apathetic, ignorant and distracted to focus on its own decline.
"Do what you can to elect the right people, but focus the major attention to make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing." A great statement.
Yeap, the 2nd amendment can do that.
