Missed in Bill Clinton’s mockery of Karl Rove today was that he blew up the official account of Hillary Clinton’s near-instantaneous recovery from her December 2012 episode. The former president said it took Hillary six months to recover, as ABC News reports:
“They went to all this trouble to say she had staged what was a terrible concussion that required six months of very serious work to get over,” he said. “It’s something she never low-balled with the American people, never tried to pretend it didn’t happen.”
This isn’t the impression that State Department officials gave in early January 2013, when spokesman Victoria Nuland said of the secretary of state, “she seems to be fully recovered.”
Rather than putting the matter to rest today, Bill only raised more questions.
Sounds like a stroke to me.
Stevens, Smith, Woods and Doherty never recovered.
