Reagan pro-life champion?
He sure was. He consistently, constantly pushed for pro-life legislation, consistently and constantly used the bully pulpit of the president to further the culture of life.
No one before or since has been that good as president.
I voted for Brannon but could easily have voted for Tillis. And I know a number of strong conservatives who did vote for Tillis because he did such a great job as Speaker of the House for the conservative cause. Just because he was endorsed by establishment Republicans does no necessarily put him into their camp. Judge a man by what he does, not by who endorses him.
“...picked the less pro life candidate...”
I don’t understand that phrase. It seems to me that you are or you aren’t.
Really? Serious? There are many shades of almost every issue
such as what you've done or advanced for a given cause in your life, your legislative career, etc. Dude
get out of this "check box" formulaic mentality. Lot of folks vote the right way who do little else to help certain causes
..
Oh really? He’s Karl Rove’s handpicked candidate .and he said “Obama Care is a great idea, we just cannot afford it NOW” - really?????????
You’re oh for your last two. But I will vote Tillis in the general ..
Gotcha. :)
The NRA did not endorse Harry Reid.
I never been a judge of people’s thinking, only what what they do - their actions.
Tillis received endorsements from National Right to Life and the National Rifle Association which tells me he must be doing something right to gain their trust.
Several times a week I sit around a table with 3-6 very conservative old timers. I was surprised to learn I was the only one who didn’t vote for Tillis.
You so miss the point ..NRTL and NRA didn’t endorse Tillis for any other reason than the fact that they were co opted by the GOP estab. And on the NRA? They endorse Harry Reid also. Your “faith” in these endorsement borders on the pollyannish.
But my main point, and you haven’t laid a glove on it, is that the NRA and NRTL is becoming a part of the estabs.
